FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are priced at a flat $65 per month. This includes a thirty-minute lesson once per week. Books will be extra and are charged according to what the student needs, usually around $30 to begin. Tuition is expected in full on the first lesson of each month. Any missed lessons will be made up at the teacher's availability.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually like to get information about the student's background in piano, what their interests are, what instrument is available to practice on, and what they hope to accomplish by taking lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Music Education, with a concentration in piano, for one year at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. I had nine years of piano study before that. I am currently one semester away from obtaining my Associates Degree in Music from Pitt Community College. I have been the church pianist and choir director for Grace Baptist Church for the past seven years. I have been the pianist for several other churches and have played for numerous weddings and other events. I also teach at the Music Academy of Eastern Carolina in Greenville, NC. and am a member of the Greenville Piano Teachers Association.
