Introduction: What I do?
I capture personalities in a fun and relaxing setting. I prefer to conduct my sessions in natural light where your family can play and be themselves. I believe that the true beauty of life is in the toothless smiles, the ketchup stained shirts, the falling down ponytails, the mix-matched socks with rain boots, and most of all, the laughter. I like to capture rambunctious children and couples who are imperfectly perfect.
How it works?
When you decide to book a session with me, a non-refundable $50 is due at the time of booking to hold the date. Once a date is set, then a pre-session consultation discussing your vision for the shoot, wardrobe, and location can take place via phone, e-mail, or in person. The remainder of the balance is due the day of the photo shoot. When you hire me as your photographer, you are allowing me to use those photos for my website and/or marketing.

Shawnta was wonderful! We were brand new to North Carolina but I still wanted to continue our annual tradition of having photos taken. Shawnta helped select a location that was perfect for us. She was also great with my two boys (ages 3 and 6). They are not the most photogenic of children but she was able to get great pictures of them in poses as well as just playing. She was able to capture the best photos of them while they were playing in a heap of leaves. Very professional and I had my photos so quickly, she was just a joy to work with. Will definitely be booking her again this fall.

Shawnta does such an amazing job catching those special moments and real emotion. She has taken our family pictures, my daughters 3yr old pictures, and my son's newborn pictures and I can't think of anyone better to keep capturing our family as we grow. She makes it easy to get the shots you want b/c she's so patient and has a GREAT eye! I'm happy to call her our family photographer.

Our kids were cranky for the shoot, but Shawnta was patient with our family and was able to capture some great shots. She was great to work with, on time and very understanding when working with a baby and toddler. I would hire her again for our next set of family photos.
