Introduction: I am the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church located in La Grange NC. I began pre-marital counseling and officiating weddings as part of my congregational duties. I discovered that many people who believe in God and desire a Christ centered ceremony, don’t attend church for various reasons. Whatebver the situation, I welcome the opportunity to assist you. I can even offer my church for small intimate weddings if you need a site without being over charged. I love all people regardless of race, sexual orientation, or beliefs. However, based on my interpretation of scripture, I only perform weddings between a man and woman that profess Christ as their Savior. I also offer premarital counseling. I can accommodate you with in person sessions, or through a media format.

Beyond 5 stars! We couldn’t have picked a better officiant to marry us. Pastor Wiggins was friendly, accommodating, professional, thoughtful, and organized. He went over and beyond to make our intimate wedding exactly what we wanted and more. He tailored the ceremony to fit our story & religious beliefs, you would’ve thought he knew us for years. Pastor Wiggins even helped us find a photographer last min & graciously opened his church for us. You won’t be disappointed!

Pastor Wiggins was an incredible officiant for my wedding on Dec 11, 2021. He was very accommodating, responsive, and even helped us write our wedding vows. My wife and I were absolutely astounded by Pastor Wiggins’ ability to quickly adapt to last minute changes and put on an excellent wedding ceremony. We are both truly grateful for everything he did to make our big day as special as possible, and even afterward, I am lucky enough to call Pastor Wiggins my friend.

Rev. Wiggins is an amazing officiant. He helped me and my wife get married last minute. With me being military and getting ready to deploy, our original wedding was canceled. Rev. Wiggins gave an amazing and beautiful service, and was able to record it to send out to our families. I would highly recommend him for any wedding!

Reverend John was able to come officiate our wedding somewhat short notice. We were worried we wouldn't be able to find a pastor or officiant to marry us with such short notice. Reverend John responded very quickly. He took the time to get to know us, learn our story, what we are like, and what kind of wedding ceremony we wanted. He provided us with great information regarding the ceremony with vow, ceremony, and ring ceremony examples. It was a massive help to us. We had to change the time and location a few times, and every time Reverend John worked with us, no problem. He arrived early on the wedding day, went over everything with us and the family, and did an excellent job with the ceremony. My husbands father is a pastor and Reverend John incorporated my father-in-law into the wedding, letting him read scripture and pray over us. I recommend Reverend John to anyone needing a pastor to officiate their wedding! He truly cares about the people he is helping and we could tell he genuinely wanted to provide us with the best experience possible! Thank you so much Reverend John!!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee is $300.00 if the ceremony is within an hour and a half drive and I am am not required at the rehearsal. If I am required to attend the rehearsal an additional charge of $100 or $200 is requested depending on the distance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will get to know each other through personal interaction, phone calls, or video chats. I do encourage premarital counciling, which I offer, but it is not a requirement. I do stress that communication between us is a must so I can help provide your ideal ceremony.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Campbell University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity Degree.
