FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since I do various types of work, I have a couple of different systems for pricing. For weddings I have a set price for the bride which includes a consultation and false lashes the day of the wedding. For additional people (mothers, maids, etc) I charge a separate set price per person based on whether they want a full face, just eyes, just lashes, etc. For photoshoots I charge a hourly rate if the photographer/model needs me to stay for touchups, etc. Otherwise if I am completing one look I will do a per person rate and only stay for the time that it takes for those looks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since I work for Bobbi Brown cosmetics part time, we are updated every 6 months on new innovations with products and techniques. Bobbi Brown has been an amazing company to learn to do makeup beautifully.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a background in studio art, but have always had an interest in beauty and fashion. So with my knowledge of color theory and eye for symmetry, makeup artistry seemed like the perfect fit for a dynamic and exciting career.
