Introduction: Started as a Local Radio DJ in 1990. In 2007, I became a Theatrics Karaoke Club DJ and later progressed to become a sought after On-Premise Club and Hotel Takeovers DJ playing all the banging dance anthems for many private elite groups. The clear difference is that you 'feel' my charisma, personality and experience for the songs selections, plus respect for your guests treating everyone equally. This career is a regression and mimick back to my early childhood that I never outgrew. Add the fact that I work on electronics and computers for 40-plus years, the equipment doesn't daunt the atmosphere, in fact, the performance is a reflection of me personally enjoying what I do.

I have known Rockin RAJ for a little over 8 years. At first I have to say he knew little about Rockin, unless it was related to Kiss. Over the years I have seen his skills as a DJ and knowledge of all Genres of music increase 100 fold! His song list catalog is second to none from what is available in the southeastern US. He may be a little out of the ordinary, and I do not recommend letting him sing unless u really really like a "Weird Al" type of experience. I do highly recommend him for your DJ needs in playing parties, wedding, etc. You will not be disappointed in his song selection, his equipment and his dedication to giving you a first rate experience. I would actually rate him 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!Call him today to get your event Rockin, just remember to have folks to Karokee there rather than him if that is your thing (not withstanding u love Weird Al...then he may be right for you in every way)!

Thank you for the compliments, especially where you define my singing to be that of simulacrum. After working 8 long years writing a book on the voice, my intent is always towards a faithful song reproduction attempting to copy precisely the original; thus you define "like Weird Al." Weird Al does in fact produce some cheesy songs, but he is definitely a genius at his craft, and glad to see that you have that fine forensic analytics to put me into the same category as a genius. I have in fact written some parodies and do enjoy singing to perfection as close to the original as possible.

Great price! DJ Raj did a outstanding job at my wedding ceremony and reception. I knew it was a challenge to have him play at a cultural wedding, but he mastered it well. He was able to plays songs from both Hmong and American culture and understand exactly how I want things done. If he doesn't have the songs available, he will download songs at the scene just to play for us . He even let us karaoke, even if it wasn't part of the plan. He opened up for great ideas and hosted the Reception/DJ party. I didn't have to rent any additional equipment; he provided the microphone, speakers, lighting, etc...Great job DJ Rockin' Raj.. Definitely will hire him again for our next family wedding.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My four hour minimum which includes professional lights and sound is $200. Am always half price and am told that a lot. No one has ever said that I was expensive, but, just the opposite.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All Wedding Customers and requested to meet with me face to face for at least 30 minutes at Downtown Suite Mondays thru Saturdays at 10am and closes at 5:30pm and Sundays, and close earlier at 2pm on Saturdays when not booked. Am verified and listed on Google, Google Maps, Bing, MSN, Apple Maps, Yelp, Manta, and more. Keep in mind that most DJs are not in this for the long haul.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I research and subscribe to some of the top DJs, and also brush up in the field of Law, computers and once wrote a book on the voice and backwards messages.
