Dog training type
Coach Jon has left us with wagging tails! Jon is very polite, professional and easy to work with. We have two Golden Retrievers and they love Jon! We are on our second round of training and learn something new each time. Jon has a plethora of knowledge about dogs. The schedule Jon sets for training allows us time to work with the dogs instead of trying to squeeze it all in at once. My spouse and I are very grateful Jon is able to train all of us! Thank you Coach!Mar 25, 2020Verified
Need a great Dog Trainer -- look no further! Jon was exactly what we had in mind when considering dog training. His tips, advice and recommendations were right on and we couldn't be happier!Nov 13, 2017Verified
He was great!!! Not just with our dog but with us as well. He was very clear so I understood what we needed to do between visits and patient with us as we figured it out. I definitely recommend him and would use him again in the future.Sep 27, 2019Verified
Jon is Dog-god! We were so challenged with our rescued 1-year old black and tan coon hound (Scout). We nearly took her back. She had been food deprived and abused. She showed vicious aggression toward our rescued 3-year old redbone coon hound (Aggie). Jon was very patient with Scout and explained to us how she was food-driven.... and how to work with her using that. We were amazed at how he broke through to her in ways we didn't know. We learned so much from him as he challenged us too. Scout is gradually transforming into a well-behaved dog. Thank you Jon!Oct 3, 2019Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? An assessment is required. It can take up to one and a half hours and includes evaluating behaviors, nutritional needs, and environmental concerns. That is $80 and will include tips and suggestions, making it worth your time and money. During the evaluation, I will tell you if I will take you on as a client. At the end of the assessment, you may purchase coaching sessions for $60 per 1-hour session in blocks of six ($360) or $80 each, sold individually. You will realize a savings of $120 by buying a block of six sessions as opposed to buying them separately. Sessions are every two weeks, so plan on taking about 12 weeks to finish 6 hours with me. The rest of your time during those 12 weeks will be all about you spending time working with your dog. There are no guarantees, working with a dog who has aggressive tendencies; therefore, there are no refunds. Your degree of success is dependent on your being willing and able to follow suggestions and instructions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? As a Canine Behavior Coach, it is my job to give you pointers, suggestions, and tools which you can use to build a successful relationship with your dog. I will make recommendations as necessary regarding dietary and nutritional needs. Food, praise, and toy treats will be used throughout the training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was certified as a Pet Training Instructor at a national pet store chain. I also volunteered with an AKC group in North Dakota as an Obedience Trainer.
