I have been training with Charles Hogue for almost 3 years. We have concentrated on weight training, boot camp and running. My goals included running a 5 K, strength and body composition changes. I have had experiences with many different trainers. All of them made promises regarding changing my body composition and strength, but Charles is the only trainer who actually had the knowledge and expertise to help me achieve all my goals and beyond! Additionally, Charles has knowledge and experience regarding nutrition that would rival any sports nutritionist. His extensive and varied background in sports, bodybuilding and weight training is what gives him the edge over other trainers. I continue to amaze myself with what I am able to accomplish with his support and advice.

When I first started training with Charles I had had a broken back, a permanently broken ankle and multiple other health issues and surgeries. Unconsciously, I had limited turning my neck and allowing my body to turn naturally in response to the back surgery. I had a chronic backache, had to wear a rigid ankle/leg brace indefinitely and I walked looking at the ground watching my every step. Charles worked with me on stretching, flexibility and strengthening. Within just a few months I was able to move my neck and walk much more freely without watching every step. Only when stepping on and off a curb did I continue to actually look down but that was to only last a limited time. I took physical therapy over a dozen times prior to training with Charles, however, every time I took it for one part of my body another part would start hurting which couldn’t be treated without another prescription, etc… With a very limited number of visits paid for by my insurance, my success was also very limited. After exhausting the physical therapy visits paid for by my insurance I started looking for a trainer, someone that could treat every part of my body at the same time. This turned out to be one of the best ideas I had ever made concerning my health. Charles not only helped me over come health issues I faced when I met him but new challenges I was to face during my future training years. I could go on..... The only issue I had was the distance from my house to the gym and I still went at least 2 times a week for 4 1/2 years.
