Introduction: I have had a passion for music at an early age which has stuck with me into my Adult years and I still have that fire which I channel into playing music as well as teaching music. Some of the students that I have taught have studied with other instructors and been very thankful and complimentary on my teaching methods. From what people have told me I am one of the best teachers the Triangle has to offer. I am only repeating what I have been told.
I love the playing in live situations due to the transfer of energy from a crowd back to the musicians/band. It can be quite a therapeutic experience. I also love the teaching end of things to see a student grow and light up when they actually achieve something that they thought was not possible in their playing.

Todd Proctor has been, throughout the years, a teacher, mentor, and friend to myself and, I am certain, many others in the percussion community. Studying under him was an intensely gratifying experience both technically and spiritually, and I would in a heartbeat recommend him to any other prospective student looking for an instructor who may not only provide content, but context to the art of drumming.

Todd has been an excellent teacher and mentor to me. I am no doubt growing at a rate that I would not be able to on my own. I would be shocked if there was another drum instructor better than him in the area, and if there is tell me I would love to see it. Don't give up either, I did for five months and regret it. If you stick with him he will stick with you. Like anything true growth takes patience. He knows what he is talking about. Without a doubt the best teacher/mentor I've had thus far in any realm of life.
