Introduction: Howells Hardwood Floors is the oldest flooring business in Raleigh, with over 40 years experience, We ensure that each customer gets what they pay for, At Howells Hardwood we give you a timeline that work will be completed and generally your house is ready when we tell you, We use dust containment systems to keep the house as clean as possible, so when pricing your flooring project, make sure you compare the type of materials being offered to you,, Also if you have engineered hardwood floors they can only be buffed and re-coated, they are not to be sanded like a solid wood floor, we do not do decks and chairs or table tops in restaurants, I am fully insured with Workers Comp and General Liability insurance

Ron's team was impressively professional in every way. Expert, polite, hardworking. They finished floors in four rooms and a hallway of an 1890 home with mismatched but antique heart pine floors that were a complete mess. After their work the floors are astonishingly beautiful. We decided not to put all the rugs back down so we can continue enjoy the beauty of the wood. When I asked for another tint to be added to the mix, Ron went out and bought new materials, willing to sacrifice his first purchases for the project. When I offered to reimburse he said "No m'am, not necessary." It was a pleasure having them in the house--for 5 days.

We had a great experience working with Ron and Ricky to sand our existing hardwood floors and lay hardwoods in the kitchen feathering them into the already there hardwoods. The job was completed in 3 days time but would have been less if our contractor didn’t delay Ron’s team. The floors look great considering the age of the home, and the work is quality work. We are so pleased with how everything turned out and how professional Ron and his team are. We would refer him to anyone we know! These guys know how to stick to their word and get the job done right.

I started out doing floors helping my father when I was 15, and it was all hands on training, it turned into after school and summer work, I just continued doing hardwood floors because it was a good job and was always learning something new
