    Jackie F.

Frank has been an exceptional tutor for my daughter in 8th grade. This year has been particularly difficult for her and I've recently learned , the majority of the class due to a less than stellar teacher unfortunately and Frank is keeping her on track and ready to move to 9th grade math. For students that struggle witht he subject, he is patient and explains things in their "language" making it easier to learn. I will continue to partner with Frank for my daughter's math education into the summer and I am sure she will meet the 9th grade curriculum with the foundation and confidence required to excel. Thanks Frank!

Thumbtack Spotlight

Cristl Arndt

(2 reviews)

Cristl Arndt has loved teaching since she was young. She got her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and has worked at Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene, Department of Epidemiology and at Howard Hughes Medical Center in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Her students range from 8th to 11th graders but there are also college students who book her tutorial services.

What do you love about your job?

I love helping students make better grade and giving them confidence that they have the ability to succeed. I love seeing the look on their faces when they have an "aha moment." Forming bonds with students and watching them grow and being a positive influence on their lives are rewarding.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

My passion for helping people inspired me to start my own business. My love for teaching, as well as setting my own hours, being my own boss and working from home are some of the reasons why I am in this business.

Cristl is also noted as the only tutor in the area who provides TEAS test preparation, which is a nursing entrance exam. If you are working hard to get high marks in your class, learn with this skilled tutor.
