Maxwell began working with my youngest son Joshua when he was only 5 years old. At first, he taught Joshua trumpet. Joshua learned quickly under Maxwell's instruction. Eventually Joshua began to show an interest in piano so by the time he was 8 we switched focus & Max began instructing Joshua on the piano. Max does so much more than just teach the basics - he inspires a broad interest in music. Max makes music fun and approachable. He is patient, firm and reinforces great practice habits. My Joshua is now 10 & his piano skills are quite impressive because of Max's teaching. With Max's help, my son has even begun composing his own music.
