I hired Jocelyn to help me with organizing the day of my wedding. She was fantastic! She started out helping me a little more than a month out. She met me with some vendors, and selections, and organized everything else. She is always on time, and does her job very well. I could not have done this in my own. I am extremely happy that i found her and that she helped my now husband and i have the most fantastic wedding EVER! Anyone ever looking for the best help in Raleigh, shes def your gal! Jocelyn was the day-of-coordinator for our wedding, and we would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event without her. To say that she was prepared is an understatement. She met with us several times in the months leading up to our wedding, during which we discussed every possible detail of the wedding (there were so many things we hadn't thought of!). She took thorough notes that she later organized into a day-of timeline for the wedding day! Jocelyn is also very connected to local vendors of all kinds, which helped us find an incredible DJ and makeup artist (and save money!). Throughout the planning process, we had a few family issues, but Jocelyn helped us tackle each concern thoughtfully while reminding us to keep things in prospective. The day of our wedding was perfect! Jocelyn and her team did not exclude a single detail. The ceremony was organized flawlessly, the reception venue was set up better than my husband and I could have fathomed, and the smooth flow of events allowed us and our guests to enjoy the event to its maximum. I can say with confidence that there were several things we didn't even know about that Jocelyn and her team were three steps ahead of. Jocelyn outdid herself as a professional with her attention to our wedding, but she also outdid herself personally by truly caring for my husband and me. - What types of customers have you worked with?I most often do day or weekend of coordination. I work with couples a month before their date to confirm vendors, coordinate the rehearsal, and direct the wedding on the day of the event. The latest trend is DIY brides. But because most brides do not plan weddings on a regular basis, we love to help out and make sure they have thought of it all. While this is what we do most often, at A Paradigm Shift Event, LLC we LOVE designing weddings from start to finish. Taking a seedling of an idea and bringing it to fruition is what we live for!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Be sure to work with someone you like and trust. Your wedding day is not the time to be annoyed by vendors. Make sure that your personalities click and you simply like the wedding planner you hire.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?We work a 12- 16 hour day on your wedding and put in many hours before then. We have relationships with vendors but if we don't have an existing relationship with the vendors you have chosen, we actively work to develop them. We like to create an atmosphere of a seamless team for your event. That takes time and nurturing.
