Brandi was absulutely everything we were looking for plus more!! As soon as we saw her photos we knew we wanted to work with her. She got back to me the same day I emailed her and had our photos finished in less than a week. Brandi truly has a talent for capturing and creating beautiful images. We could not be happier with our engagement photos and plan to work with her for our destination wedding as well!!!

Brandi was very prompt. She answered emails right away, showed up on time and was ready to work. Her fee was fair. She was very nice to work with. Brandi likes to use natural sunlight in her work. I am an older woman needing a flattering head shot for professional work. Brandi does not bring any artificial lighting with her. She depends on what is in the natural environment. An indoor shot with appropriate lighting would have been better for my needs.

    About this pro

Yes, I'm a professional but I'm also a person and that's exactly what you get, me. I love getting to know my clients, specifically my brides. I love becoming friends with my couples, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable, real and fun for everyone! It's also how I obtain ah-mazing images! If you're happy and relaxed around me, that will show in your images. Not to mention, your photographer will be with you for 8+ hours on one of the biggest days of your life, you need to get to know your photographer and make sure it's a great fit prior to booking. I love the connection, the love, the emotion that I get to witness first hand. It's so, so incredible. When I first started this business, I had NO idea how much love and joy would fill my heart. I meet my couples usually prior to their engagement sessions, sometimes even before they are even engaged (Yay!) and I get to see and grow with them. It's truly an amazing experience to see two people go from a couple, to engaged, to married, to expecting, to a family and throughout all the different milestones, I'm there to receive the emails, phone calls and texts messages full of pictures, stories and great news from my ah-mazing clients, time and time again. I really do feel like I'm part of the family. I get teary just thinking about it. What I do is so important to me. It's a gift and I'm honored to have it. I love my "job".

      Q & A

      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process would be exchanging email and/or phone communication, going over the logistics and pricing information. If everyone is on board, I then schedule a meeting, generally at a local coffee shop just to meet, get a sense of each other and I bring a long some printed images. I ask questions to get to know you guys and allow you to ask me questions, I get to know more about your wedding day plans. If everyone is happy and ready to work together, I send over a copy of my contract for viewing and signing and I send an invoice for the retainer! Sometime in the next few weeks or months, depending on each client and how soon they are ready, we schedule another meeting to go over the timeline and talk about picture ideas and more wedding plans!
      • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hi! So, of course you're going to want to make sure their images are what you're envisioning for yourself. I suggest asking to see an entire wedding gallery, not just the 20 or so great images they have on their website. Anyone can have a great 20 images but by seeing full galleries that really shows you what you can expect. Secondly, make sure you meet with your photographer-to-be, I tell folks this all the time, you are going to be with your photographer(s) 8+ hours on one of the biggest days of your life. It is very important that your personalities mesh well. You don't want to end up with a photographer that takes beautiful images but is absolutely cold or doesn't have the greatest attitude. I personally believe that having a great relationship with your photographer is a WONDERFUL thing! You are relaxed, free to be yourself and live in your moments on your wedding day, rather than feeling akward in front of the camera. I like to have fun, I like to be goofy and make folks laugh, okay, so yes I'm a dork but it works! :)
