I've been training with Elton for about 6 weeks now. I absolutely love working with Eric. He always has the best attitude. I started with Eric in a kettlebells class and was surprised at how great it was. They require the full body to be used properly and drive strength coordination. I now workout with Eric one-on-one and he is exceptionally supportive and has a great sense of humor. He makes me work hard, but he makes it fun and he listens. For example, he knows that I am a visual learner and today I was not doing my bar push-ups correctly, so he showed me in slow motion how to do it and then I was able to do them properly, He is always very attentive and my workouts are different each week. He makes me want to be the best person I can be. Plus, I have been losing weight and firmed up--when I went to get my hair cut my hairdresser could only tell it was me from a distance because of the haircut! Try Eric you will like him.
Bryant is a fantastic trainer! When I started with him a few months ago, I was incredibly out of shape having not exercised consistently in several years. I needed someone to motivate me and hold me accountable and Bryant has done just that. My weight and measurements have decreased and, most importantly, my strength and endurance have increased. I feel better than I have in a long time and am able to do more physical activities with my 3 year old. I still have a long way to reach my goal but Bryant is providing the tools (both diet and exercise) as well as the guidance and encouragement to get me there!
I am a long distance runner who started a strength training program with Aaron to address muscle weaknesses caused by sitting for a living and muscle imbalances caused by running long distances for the last five years. My goal was to prevent common running injuries and to address some issues with my knee. I have literally no interest in strength based exercise and have very little confidence when it comes to anything doesn’t involve stepping out my door and going for a run, hopping on a bike, or jumping in a pool. In fact, if you would have asked me when I first started whether I would be able or willing to commit to any kind of regular strength training program I would have told you flatly, no way. But Aaron makes it fun and interesting and I have been doing strength training sessions three times a week for about 6 months. Even better, I feel comfortable doing things on my own. He has really helped to boost my confidence when it comes to what seemed to me to be complicated exercises. He is really great at pointing out how I have improved and notices progress that I would never have been able to notice on my own. I would highly recommend Aaron.
Without question, DeMarcus Brooks is by far the best personal trainer with whom I have worked. Demarcus designed a personal training regimen specifically tailored to my goals and fitness interests (i.e., strength training and endurance for the tennis court with collateral benefit of weight loss). He introduced me to a variety of exercises instructed me on the proper use of fitness machines and free weights. He stressed concentration in good form to avoid injuries and the most efficiently build strength and fitness. Following Demarcus’ moveto Raleigh, I worked with other trainers in Atlanta. None of them were his class. Fortunately, his excellent tutelage has allowed me to continue my fitness goals on my own. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a fitness coach.
During our sessions, Nick has provided fitness training that strengthened my body as well as my mind. There were always new skills being developed while lifting weights, which included improving body form to ultimately creating various methods for overcoming bad habits. For instance, I never knew how to run until I started training with Nick; I would “jog” for twenty seconds and be completely out of breath. After one year of training with Nick, I have since completed a total of three 5k’s and even won a race to the top is Stone Mountain! Overall, the prize takeaway is the lifestyle change that occurs naturally. The reality is knowledge is key in everything we do, including exercise. Nick taught me how to breathe; how to run; squat; lift; stretch; eat; drink; press and keep pressing my way through to the next level setting each goal higher than the last. I cannot endorse Paul more highly. He is really good at what he does and really pushed me to achieve greater than my own original goals. He's responsive and flexible considering how hard it is to work around busy schedules. He really has a great way to work with very few equipment props and yet really focus the workout on the core and get amazing results and calories burned. My flexibility and tone improved far more than I could have ever done on my own and exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend him more highly!!!! He will transform you. He represents what is greatly needed in the personal training world.
If you are looking for a great all around trainer then you have found her! I have been training with Donna for a few years. I started after finishing physical therapy for a hamstring injury. I wanted to continue with strength training to prevent further injury. Donna helped me rebuild strength by listening to what I needed and adjusting the workout to fit my needs. She really pays attention to form which ensures that the exercises are safe and effective. I have continued with Donna because she keeps each workout interesting by changing it up. Every time it's different so my muscles are challenged and it's interesting and fun. She's great at encouraging you during the workout so I've been able to do more than I ever thought I could. Donna also checks on you between workouts to make sure you are doing ok. She genuinely cares about her clients! Awesome trainer, very professional but also a great person!
I started training with Eric to get in shape for my brothers wedding and ended up working with him long after the event came and went. He completely changed my attitude towards working out from something I dreading doing to a lifestyle change that I look forward to. His methods are unlike anything I have ever experienced in a gym or with a trainer, yet they are the most effective methods I have ever used. It was the last week of July 2012 when Matt was appointed to train me with a goal of building up my strength with weight training. Since then, I have been not just trained, but motivated and substantially educated by Matt about physical fitness. My journey in physical fitness began in Nov 2011 when I entered the gym for the first time to do boot camp style training for losing fat which was at around 26.5 percent. Soon I realized the need for bolstering strength and improving endurance and I decided to join Rapid Fitness (not just because my friends went there but because it was an affordable option for having a personal trainer). Matt was appointed as my personal trainer and from that point on I began my journey toward adding substantial muscle and not just burning fat. When I began training, like most newbies wanted to see I whether I could work with heavier weights, sometimes even at the cost of form and full range motion. Matt had a hard time but he was eventually able to control this tendency of mine and get me back on track to concentrate on form and ensuring full range of motion, rather than just focusing on the weight numbers. I did realize the benefit of it later when my muscles started growing stronger and I had diminished injury periods. Another thing that Matt guided me through that was very crucial was building up my chest, back, and legs rather than just concentrating on arms. I spent quite a lot of effort trying to convince Matt otherwise, but I am glad he stood strong and gave me the correct guidance. Now, after almost seven months of training, I realize the difference. I had well-sized legs, unlike most of the people I knew who had this huge upper body but small legs. This not only helped me with legs but since the big muscles were built up, the body fat started reducing quickly and I was able to get over the plateau and hit 20 percent body fat. Due to this, even though my arms didnt appear big, I could still manage to lift a substantial amount of weight. Matt didnt just guide me through weight training, he was able to notice my lack of flexibility and then guide me through stretching exercises. This cautious measure has prevented lots of injuries I would have brought upon myself due to my negligence. One thing I noticed training in a gym with correct guidance is that it doesnt just change you physically but also psychologically. Over time, you become more confident, with a positive attitude, and more focused. It doesnt just teach you to appreciate the hard work of others, but to appreciate yourself and motivate those like you who were scared of entering the gym because they felt they were not cut out for it. I was really happy when I visited my family in India in January 2013 and everyone observed and appreciated the difference in me. Thats when I realized the guidance and training provided by Matt was the one thing that was able to make this happen and no kind of dieting would have worked on its own. This realization is the reason for writing this testimonial. I am thankful to Matt for not just guiding and motivating me, but helping me to control my tendency to lose form when I wanted to lift heavier weights.
Natalie is fantastic. All around. I find that she has a creative, scientific, and systematic approach to helping me reach my goals. She has a lot of knowledge and some really good practical experience. I have struggled with fitness and food all my life and Natalie has been able to engage me throughout my process since I have known her. She gives me excellent advice about fitness and food, she seems to have a million different strategies to address problems so that we pick the right one for me, and she has a very informed background. I find that she is patient, really willing and interested in helping me and she makes me feel comfortable doing everything or talking about the parts that are hard. I know she has helped me tremendously in motivation, in information, and in feeling safe throughout the process. I think working with Natalie makes me better able to achieve my goals. I highly, highly, recommend her.
Catherine was my trainer for about a year. While working with her, I saw dramatic results both in my fitness level and in my strength. My run pace improved and my body became more toned. Her workouts incorporated different strength exercises mixed with intervals. She was motivational and very fun to work with. Danny has taken my training to a whole new level. I do mean training not just exercise. My husband and I were looking for someone who could coach us through linear progression barbell training. Not everyone knows what that is, but Danny does! He understands the science and applies it for success at strength training and diet. I've gone way beyond barbells. I'm squatting and deadlifting above my body weight in less than a month. If you want to be strong, you need Danny as your coach.
Can not say enough nice things about Tina. She customized a work out plan for my teens. It incorporates the sports they are training for in addition to overall fitness and strength training. I could not be more pleased. They are having fun while having meaningful progress in thier fitness. They look forward to their time with her.
I hired Josh for Personal Training to help with weight/fat loss and strength training. Josh was very knowledgeable and was able to formulate a workout and nutrition program that fit my goals. He was friendly, accommodating and always made me comfortable. He challenged me without being overly aggressive or risking injury. He helped me lose 5% body fat and over 15lbs so far not to mention strength increases. The space he has available in North Syracuse/Mattydale is great. It has everything you need for a great workout without the imposing large gym feel. I highly recommend Josh for Personal Training.
Koko FitClub is not like every other gym out there - it is WAY BETTER! I have tried it all from different gyms, personal trainers, you name it. Koko takes the thinking out of weight workouts by providing you with your own "virtual" personal trainer with a customized program to fit your strength and workout goals. And the best part is it is only 30 minutes! I love this because personally I don't want to spend hours and hours in a gym. If I add in my cardio it tacks on another 15 minutes, however don't be fooled - the cardio portion is tough! The other added benefit is that the gym is very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. All in all I really love what Koko FitClub has to offer and am glad I can get my workout done in record time! Go check it out... you won't be disappointed!!!!
