This company (if you can call it that) is one to steer FAR away from at all costs. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of doing business with them. The small project was supposed to be finished BY June 30th at the absolute latest as we were relocating half way across the country and the house had to be rent or sale ready by July 3rd. They didn't even show up until June 29th! These guys were so full of excuses, workers didn't even show up for days at a time. Inaccurate measurements of my kitchen floor caused them to not buy enough materials and then when they went back OF COURSE they were out of stock. Told me constantly that the materials were on a truck coming to the local Home Depot. REFUSED to go to the next town over to get materials to complete the project, stating so many excuses that I would think that these guys were cursed. We had to leave in the middle of them doing the project. We left a friend in charge with overseeing which VICK was ok with, but soon after things started to get ugly (uglier!) he tried to tell us that letting her oversee them was breech of contract. Vick likes to threaten to take you to court if you do not pay him before he has finished the project. I wish we would have gone because there is no way he would have won, especially after I filed a police report because he or his employees stole items from my property! One took a Japanese Maple, dug it right up out of the ground! He brought it back after I called Vick about it but he stated that I told him he could have it. Another employee was witness to that conversation and agreed that I never said anything remotely close to that. My neighbor saw the mailman deliver a package while they were working (the ONLY ones there) and within the 2 minutes it took her to text me and walk over someone had sliced the box open and took it! This company is a joke and I honestly should sue them for a refund due to all the emotional stress I had to endure working with them (if you can even call it that). If I went into all the details I would have to write an expose! I was far more patient and nicer than I should have been with them. They definitely do NOT use the right equipment and and their work is slapped together at best. I am so afraid that we are going to have to redo most (if not all) of the work that they did. NOT worth the headache to save a few bucks. They finished almost 2 full weeks AFTER the deadline which was actually breech of contract on THEM according to this contract we signed. I WISH I found the bad reviews that are now popping up before hiring them. STAY AWAY!
Roof To Floor And More's reply
Lets start by answering this piece by piece. We started this 2 months prior. We were UNABLE to do anything inside until the customer had cleared furniture, boxes exc. We were requested to not start inside until JUNE 22nd at the earliest. We explained at that time we had other jobs but would get in as close as we could. We started the week after. At this time we found that there was extensive dmg to the bathroom floor, this could not have been foreseen without removal of existing floor. We were given permission to extend contract to address this damage. Customer requested the lightest floor we could get. which turns out to be country pine at home depot. We purchased everything they had in stock. We were told more would be in at the end of the week. Unfortunately it ended up on back order. We offered to go to Home depot in Wilmington About 1.5 hours away (Job in Jacksonville) for an extra $25. Customer refused. Friend was left to do final inspection, however as soon as customer left she took control telling us how SHE wanted house to be done. Customer would not address this concern. Instead threatened to terminate unless we finished to friends standards, even though many issues had been prior discussed, such as not renting floor buffers or walk behind sanders to save on money for customer. No one stole anything. An employee was give PERMISSION by customer to take the tree in question. No report was filed, no charges where made and employee returned tree. No one knows ANYTHING about the "missing package". A box was found on the porch open when we arrived. Everything WAS INSPECTED prior to finishing by customers friend and APPROVAL WAS GIVEN. If there was any problem it was that we offered to do to much to help save money for customer, we explained that cutting these costs would change outcome, but customer was concerned with selling home and making as much profit as possible.
