Specific air testing required
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We install Temper Shield radiant heat barriers. A radiant barrier is installed in your attic as a way to reduce the heat that your home gains in the summertime, thus helping to reduce the costs associated with cooling your home. Temper Shield's radiant barriers are highly reflective and re-emit radiant heat (heat that radiates from an element and warms objects rather than the air) instead of absorbing it.

The review from Cheryl L.is not a fair review. First of all she did get her money back. Second she doesn't have an air conditioner in her home. And she is not always there in the winter months. So she wouldn't have had that much of a savings. That's why we have a five year performance guarantee because this is a unique situation completely non - typical of normal results. Let me put it this way Utility Improvements has been around for several years and has thousands of satisfied customers, is BBB accredited and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. So one unfair bad review is not the whole story with this company. Utility Improvement not only gave Cheryl L her money back but have bent over backward to try to please her, but unfortunately she doesn't care. She has a vendetta against the fellow that sold it to her, even though the company has tried to make it right on several occasions. It's kind of like this. You can have over 168,000 homes covered have an excellent rating, and get one bad review and that's all people want to talk about (the bad review) In all fairness Utility Improvements is excellent in customer satisfaction.

I live in Idaho and had a person working for Utility Improvements install a Temper Shield Radiant Barrier in my home. This cost me over $2,000. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE UTILITY COMPANY THAT THIS PRODUCT DID NOTHING TO SAVE ON ENERGY OR COST. It is my opinion that this product Temper Shield is a scam by Utility Improvements . Utility Improvements put a guarantee on this and I have yet to get my money back. I have sent them all the needed documentation to absolutely show THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK.

Tempershield did not deliver advertised savings for us. When I realized this, I tried to settle with the company for less than the warranty amount, but Utility Improvments would not entertain the idea. I was therefore forced to leave the inefficient solution in place for the 5 years stipulated in the warranty. Now that the 5 years is up I can claim money back, except that Utility Improvements is apparently out of business and their phones are disconnected.
