I am currently accepting students for private one-on-one lessons on drum set, snare drum, mallet or keyboard. I also teach reading, hand-and-foot technique, four-limb independence, transcribing songs, ear-training skills, and style-awareness.
My drumming palate covers Bebop jazz, bass and drums, calypso, soca, salsa, New Orleans, reggae, country, rock and hard rock/fusion double-bass drumming. This is not just a list of things that I have learned out of a book. The list of styles includes gigs that I have played in the past or are currently playing.
If you are interested in drum set, I can help you to become the best player that you can be, or if you are just interested in pure chops, we can do that as well.
I am a full-time, professional musician who has been teaching and playing for over twenty years. Since moving to Raleigh in 1997, I have played and/or recorded with many regional and local groups.
I am qualified to teach beginners with no musical experience (including children), all the way up to semi-professional and professional players who want to take their drumming to the next level.
Please visit my website for more information. Once there, you can view my videos or listen to my work on various albums in the audio section.
If you are interested in seeing me play live, please visit my MySpace page for upcoming shows.
I look forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance.
