- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard wedding $225. This includes the agreed ceremony time (up to 2hrs), travel time and consultations. Additional costs: Rehearsal time: starts at $50 Writing the ceremony: starts at $50
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial phone call or skype/ FaceTime to discuss the couple's needs and how they would like the ceremony to be and what they expect from me as a celebrant. If the couple would like me to write the ceremony, we discuss in detail what they would like and set the timeframe. I send each draft for review and discussion until we have exactly what the couple wants. If I am not writing the ceremony, following discussion, I put the process of the ceremony together and send for review and feedback until we have full agreement. At each stage, everything is agreed with the couple before moving on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Along with a Masters in project management which is incredibly helpful on the organisation front and in understanding how people behave during a wedding "project". I have been a therapist, trainer and consultant for many years. My initial therapist qualification was as a marriage guidance counsellor which has proved invaluable over the years. My experience as a trainer means that I am very used to "public speaking " and believe I am very good at reading people and situations well and quickly. A huge help as a officiant!
