Grover Beck

Introduction: I am self-employed. My experience ranges from interior showroom painting to exterior facades. I personally worked with designers to develop a color scheme, whether they were looking for wallpaper, faux finishing or paint selection. Other responsibilities included calculating square footage for paint and/or primer as well as ordering the necessary supplies and picking up the materials from the distributor. My duties include prepping the walls such as mudding, sanding, priming, spackling and patching any holes. I have worked with all of the different stages of wallpapering, from removal to priming and hanging various types of papers and patterns. I have extensive experience in two different faux finishing techniques, which are "raging" and "jab brushing". I have been an independent contractor for eight years. Numerous opportunities, developed from various contacts while working at Furnitureland South, allowed me to work as an independent contractor and gain additional experience beyond showrooms. Depending on jobs' sizes, additional crew members were hired and managed to complete the project within the allotted time frame. I have also worked on a variety of refinishing projects; these projects range from doors to furniture pieces.
