Introduction: With my background in both group fitness and personal training I am better qualified to train a wider range of abilities, age groups, and motivation levels. I use a very involved approach with my clients and look at the whole individual. My wellrounded approach looks at all aspects of our complex being. Busy women struggle with time, responsibilities, and even the stages of our lives (perimenopause, etc.) . I understand the obstacles, empathize, and create practical solutions for you to be able to include regular exercise in your life. I provide education and support through fun social settings with likeminded people that offers extra support and empowers you to take charge of your health. That I get to make a difference in somebody's life one way or another in a very special way - taking care of their health and wellbeing. That I get the chance to motivate people to reach the potential they didn't know they had.

I began working out with Mariu while trying to improve my health due to the onset of type 2 Diabetes. My family has a horrific history of heart disease. My father died at 46 yr. old, older brother at 29 yr. old, and sister just 2 years ago at age 47. I'm the next in line and I want to live! I want to see my children grow up. I needed help in the losing weight, exercising, and Mariu helped make it happen for me. I worked out with her twice a week and in the first 14 weeks, I lost ONLY 9.5 pounds. Not so impressive at first, but I lost 9.25 INCHES! Now that's what did it for me. Of course I didn't lose more weight because I gained muscle. Muscle that I had lost over the years. The proof is in the numbers. I have lost 2 clothes sizes and more importantly, my health has improved. My A1C, measurement of diabetes, is lower as is my weight, and high blood pressure. I'm so glad I found her. She has been a great model to work for. I love her workouts. So much fun and she truly knows how to manage and monitor someone with health concerns, while at the same time challenging. My journey to stay healthy will be a lifelong effort, and I'm so glad I can include Mariu in my journeys scrapbook.

I worked with Mariu for personal training and it was great! She offers the right mix of encouragement and motivation and I loved the fitness assessment she gave me. Mariu even came to my house and developed a customized fitness routine for me using the equipment I have at home. Thanks, Mariu!!

Mariu is great to work with. She is very knowledgeable and works hard to make the workouts fit your needs not just a routine. Her willingness to listen and fine creative ways to keep you encouraged to keep coming back.

Mariu has been my trainer for three years now. She has taught me proper form, nutrition, and some techniques to use on my own that keep me motivated. She knows just when to change it up, and treats each person with individual attention. If you have an ache or pain or old injury, she will tailor the workout precisely. She's awesome..She's tough when she needs to be....and has become a wonderful friend.
