Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: One difference is that I go onsite for my clients rather than bringing them to me or a business. I am also intentionally hygienic with all of my supplies. I use disposable items when necessary and take care to thoroughly disinfect my brushes and palettes. I also seek to bring a personality and attitude that is fun, laid back, and helps you relax amidst chaos. Wedding prep time can get a little crazy, and I like to think I can be the calm during the stressful moments leading up to the wedding. I love creating! Ever since I can remember I've always been the one to play with my friends hair and makeup, trying out a new style I saw a picture of. I know that I love getting pampered, so I love to be able to do that for others. I love being able to see a client look in the mirror and feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in her own skin.

I am so grateful for Jen! I woke up with a tremendous cold and sinus infection on my wedding day with terrible bags under my eyes, but Jen literally transformed my face! She brought her essential oils that helped wake me up and did wonders with eye make up and shading. I felt like a stunning bride by the time she was done with my hair and make up! Jen had such a calming presence with chill music and a lovely demeanor while working. She welcomed my input and followed through with exactly what I wanted, adding her own creative enhancements. She was completely perfect and professional all along the way - from the trial run to the touch-ups before I walked down the isle! I would recommend her to everyone!

Jen was my hair and makeup artist for my October 2014 wedding. I wanted vintage and she totally delivered. She was at my home bright and early at 6am on the morning of the wedding. I was absolutely in love with my total wedding day look that she created and it looks amazing in the pictures, very glamorous, but not unnatural. And my makeup lasted until the party ended at nearly midnight that night, which was incredible! She is also a really cool and laid back person. She responds to emails quickly which is always appreciated when you are planning a wedding. I would definitely hire her again if I had to do it all over!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently working towards my cosmetology license which should be completed in May 2015. I have also worked under Samantha Ray of Lula Hair and Makeup who really helped me develop my trade.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The majority of my work has first been weddings followed by styled shoots and publications.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Always budget for enough time getting ready! Though it may only take an hour normally to get ready, once you add in all of the bridesmaids, mothers, dresses, hair and makeup, and the emotions of the day, things can get really crazy really fast. Always ask how much time the artist need per service, and try as best as possible to allow for that time allotment.
