FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard pricing system. I always want to be upfront with pricing. $250 Personalized Wedding Ceremony and Rehearsal $200 Personalized Wedding Ceremony $200 Personalized Vow Renewal Ceremony $100 Elopement Ceremony $0.60 per mile for travel expenses if venue is 50 miles from my location for Personalized Wedding Ceremony or if venue is 20 miles from my location for Elopement Service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have two very different typical scenarios. The first is a text, call, or email from you. Usually you will have seen my website or been referred to me. We schedule a phone call or in-person meeting, usually at a Starbucks or Panera, but sometimes at a public library. Before our meeting I will create a client site and send a contract to you. I will ask you not to sign this until after our meeting; I want you to feel confident that I am a good fit for you. The meeting takes about 30 minutes. Most people feel like our meetings help them with their wedding planning in general. We will talk about your vision and how I can meet your needs. Most of the couples I work with are secular and we often talk about families and everyone's comfort level in regards to secularism and religion. If you feel comfortable with me and my services, you will sign the contract and pay your booking fee to lock your wedding date into my calendar. From here, I will begin crafting your personalized wedding ceremony. The second scenario is a request through thumbtack, an email, call, or text looking for a wedding officiant that day or within the week. I am glad to help and find that I can accommodate and help alleviate many stressed out brides and grooms. This scenario is usually best served with my Elopement Ceremony, which is a short, sweet, and very legal ceremony that offers a chance for you to exchange your own vows if you wish. My services are flexible and always rooted in love. I love my job and wouldn't want to have it any other way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed training with the Humanist Society and was endorsed as an Associate Humanist Celebrant in April 2014. In May 2015, I was honorably endorsed by the Humanist Society as a Humanist Celebrant. My personal background is in theatre education, which helps with public speaking and improvisational skills.
