Introduction: I set my clients up for success by guiding them through their dog's tailor made training program. I use positive reinforcement training methods which fosters communication between both species - dog and guardian (owner). I incorporate fun and useful tricks when possible and strive to make the training process fun! I love people and dogs and communicating with both so I don't even look at it as a job!

Amanda has been truly wonderful in helping to train our puppies. As first-time dog owners, we naively thought we could handle getting two puppies at once. Although they were sweet boys, Teddy & Blaze also had their share of rowdy (& naughty) behaviors. Teddy had severe anxiety when we encountered people during a walk. He would lunge & pull on his leash, barking & howling. After a few training sessions, he was able to overcome this behavior & can now go for a walk without so much stress! With Amanda's help, they are becoming well-behaved & wonderful additions to our family. Each training session has yielded so much progress, both in terms of our puppies becoming well-trained, and our increased confidence as we practice our techniques. We cannot thank Amanda enough for all her dedication & her obvious love of dogs!

Working with Amanda was wonderful! She is incredibly knowledgeable and was very patient with Vinny, my husband and me. Since Vinny is a retired racing greyhound, he has some interesting personality quirks, including a high small prey drive. Amanda was able to teach us some techniques to use keep his focus on us when we encounter small dogs and other animals, and now we feel much more confident walking him around our neighborhood. He is a work in progress (aren't we all!) but I am happy to say he is doing well and we continue to practice the training cues Amanda taught us. She is readily available via email, text or phone call to answer questions and address concerns, and she did her best to coordinate sessions our family's busy schedules. I would recommend Amanda to anyone in looking for a trainer in the South Charlotte area.

After five individual sessions with Amanda, My dog is a much happier (and better behaved) puppy! We'd like to thank Amanda for coaching us on how to train and properly interact with our lab. Honestly, the training was as much for us as it was for our dog. Working with Amanda was an amazing experience. It was apparent Day 1 that my dog really responded to her warm personality. We loved the positive reinforcement and training methods she used to help make improvements on our lab's behavior.Amanda is a very professional, highly organized and educated trainer. Review: Our dog, Charlie is very active. Amanda trained both Charlie and me and my wife. It seems that we were the ones that needed her advice and consultation dealing with Charlie. Amanda was kind, considerate, always on time, and worked with us outside and inside. She is available to us on an on-going basis both in person and by phone. We could not have had a better trainer.

Yes, I frequently attend seminars and lectures from the world's leading positive reinforcement dog trainers and behaviorists to keep up to date with the latest scientific research. I attend an annual 3-5 day seminar as well!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Through my passion for dogs! As a second career I became a certified dog trainer and haven't stopped training since!
