Phenomenal. Was very pleased with the responsiveness and then the professionalism of the services provided. I’m not of the same religion but would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs someone to talk to and consult with. Only regret not hiring Dr. West sooner.

About this pro

I serve as a Senior Pastor ministering to a diverse community in the North Charleston area. My duties vary from spiritual care to administration. In regards to Pastoral Care and Coaching my primary work deals with marital and relationship issues. I work with both individuals and couples using a variety of strategies and techniques to strengthen families and budding relationships based upon sound biblical principles. Specialized and interactive action plans are tailored for each individual or couple following every session. These plans provide weekly guidance between sessions and encourage growth. For those who want specialized care but can't meet in the office I now offer sessions through Skype. Technological advances are allowing us greater access to help more individuals and couples than ever before, and like many other helping professionals I too want to provide opportunities for each client's needs to be met. I also provide a 12-hour premarital pastoral care series over a 6 - 12 week time period for those seeking to start their marriage on a solid and healthy foundation. During these sessions we use inventories and open dialogue to examine compatibility, personal traits and other tendencies that may lead to future relationship issues. I don't consider what I do a job but a ministry and a calling.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are kept low in order that none are turned away who desire help.
    • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first meeting is normally an evaluation meeting and a time to set some goals and explain the process of biblical counseling. Following sessions vary based on need and the completion of homework assignments.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Clinical Psychology, a Masters and Doctorate in Biblical Studies, a certification in Biblical Counseling, and I'm a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I also attend several classes and conferences every year to stay up to date in my field of biblical counseling.
