I was introduced to Jeff Coltenback by a friend via facebook. I had just rescued Woody, a beautiful American Bulldog (aprx.1.5 yrs old) from the Maricopa Animal Shelter in Mesa AZ and, lets just say, he was in need of some training ;) Jeff came with great reviews via my friend and I felt great to have been put in contact with someone of his caliber. I reached out and called Jeff, explained that I recused the dog I had always wanted but I had no experience with dogs of his size and energy level. Woodrow is 110 pounds, all muscle, white with a brindle patch on his head the perfect shape of a heart. He's the best dog you could ever want but at that time he needed training. We set a time and date and Jeff came to my home which was about an hour and a half away from him and he and I and Woody spent the entire afternoon together, showed me proper training tecniques that worked great and we discused everything from training to proper diet. Jeff was really knowledgable and extremely helpful. As we were talking, I mentioned that I had just lost my best friend, my Aunt Carol, a few months earlier and I was not handling it well and reverting to using street drugs to numb the pain. Jeff immediately said, ''lets go to an NA meeting right now'' He called his wife, asked her to handle the appointments he had later that day and we went to the closest na meeting we could find and followed it up with a lil Surf Taco. Jeff got me involved in the NA program and for that I am forever grateful. I'll always remember that. Since then I have called on Jeff for help with others dogs and he is always right there to help. Jeff is a skilled dog handeler with an obvious big heart and true love for what he does. Great guy.
Heather was exceptional! I have a grouchy old dog on medication and was happy and content the entire time. I knew the minute I got home that everything had been fine!
Lisa and her husband watched our two cats for six days while we were on vacation. They did an excellent job and we would highly recommend them! If you want to go away and not have to worry about your pets, then these are definitely the people you want to take care of your babies! They came the day before we were going to leave to make sure they met the cats and knew exactly what the cats needed for the week. They even checked the key that we gave them to make sure it was the right key for the front door. While we were away we received pictures via text message and they were very much appreciated. I never worried once about my animals or my house. I highly recommend Lap Dogs and Cat Pet Sitting.
Allison has worked long and hard at completing dog training and proper certification and registration for dogs that she helped with breeding and taking care of. I met her through thumbtack for a two week long position. She made sure the dogs that were born from my pups were absolutely nurtured and cared for to ensure good health for the dogs overall. She cared for 4 of them and treated them like part of the family even before and after the pups had sold she still maintained a genuine interest in taking care of them. She Always walked and included the puppies most of the time that she was able to. Her services will not be in vein and it is worth your time to take her on as a future dog sitter. She will surely prove beneficial to you if you are willing to give her an opportunity.
Kelly is a fantastic dog sitter. There are not many people I trust to care for and follow specific directions I have with my dogs. Being able to count on Kelly has been a blessing and a huge relief when I have to go away. Wish all pet sitters were like her but they are definitely not. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and has a real passion for what she does. I know my guys are getting plenty of attention and love while I'm gone, they seem to be on vacation too. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter. You won't be disappointed and neither will your dog.
Service at A Dogs Life Groomers went very well. A neat, clean & happy dog and a happy pet owner. Prompt service at a reasonable price.

My husband and I recently just moved to the Wilmington, NC area and had to leave town for 10 days and were extremely nervous about leaving our 2 dogs - a 190 lb Great Dane and. 6 lb. Yorkie - with someone new. After meeting Kate in person, I was immediately assured that they would be in very good hands. She kept a log of each time she came to the house and what all she did while she was there and would send me nightly photos of the dogs so that we knew they were doing well. I will be using Kate again next time we are out of town and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter!
Our lab, Kat, LOVES Jane and Michelle, owners of A Dogs Dream Kennel. My husband & I love Jane and Michelle, too. Labor Day Weekend, Kat got very sick, they took such good care of her, arranged for the Vet to see her, took her to the vet , by the time we picked her up on Tuesday, she was well on her way to being well. Kat can be a bit of a nervous nellie too, they know how to take care of her, monitor her because, they live on the premises. Thank you Jane and Michelle for taking such good care of our Kat.
The only groomer that I could find (accepting new appointments) in the entire Wilmington, Hampstead and Surf City area that hand strips wire fox terriers. Chrissy does an awesome job and uses top quality hypoallergenic products in her shop.

I specialize in animals with special needs. I have years of experience with house and dog sitting for days or weeks. I have worked with old and young dogs -- ones with diabetes, fresh out of surgery, strokes, as well as ones that can be alone for a long period of time. I have animals of my own and have learned that they love me, and I work very well with them and enjoy doing so.
I will dog-sit or do basic obedience training for dogs. I have several years of training experience with retrievers at the field trial level.
