ATP has the best of both worlds...amazing small group and team training with quality personal training. The environment is friendly to clients training at all levels. ATP Fitness is awesome! The price and small class sizes is what drew me in initially but the owners and the instructors are definitely what keeps me coming back for more! They make every person at every fitness level feel comfortable and because of the small class sizes are able to give each person the attention they need to reach their fitness goal. It's like you have your own personal trainer at every class! I've been at ATP for the past 18 months. The trainers are amazing. They have encouraged me and modified exercises when needed. I workout at ATP about 5 days per week. I've lost 2 sizes, and am working on more. I am much stronger, and the level of pain and discomfort I was in before joining the gym is greatly reduced. The people who attend the gym are phenomenal. Everyone is very supportive during workouts. They all cheer each other on, they want you to succeed, no matter where you are starting from. You aren't lost in a crowd wondering what you are suppose to do next. These people have become my family. They challenge me to do things I want to do, but am more often than not afraid of doing. They share in my success. I can't imagine not working out with them. Come and meet Angila and the rest of the crew! I was visiting Wilmington, NC from New York and got a tip on this gym from another fitness professional. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did Angila have kettlebells, TRX and heavy bags, but all the fun gadgets that trainers love and make it fun to give and get an awesome workout. I love the set up of this gym it has everything anyone could want in a non-pretentious atmosphere. Thank you, Angila for welcoming my girlfriend and I into your gym!! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always start with a complimentary consultation to go over your goals and come up with an action plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been in the fitness business since 2008 when I received my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification. I have since obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from UNCW and am 2 classes away from completing my Master's Degree in Kinesiology (the study of movement) from A. T. Still University with a concentration in Sports Conditioning and Orthopedic Rehabilitation. I have certifications in: StrongFirst Level 1 StrongFirst Level 2 200 Hour RYT Track & Field Level 1 ACE Personal Trainer TRX Suspension and RIP Trainer CrossFit Mobility Muscle Driver Olympic Lifting Attitude Nation Level 1 Weightlifting CPR and AED I love variety and training is different and fun ways. I have completed over 25 Spartan Races, several Sprint Triathlons, and 5 k's. I have a diverse background and I love working with anyone who is serious about making a change.
