- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In order to give an exact price, I will need details about the location of the ceremony, and whether a separate rehearsal will be needed. The price for my most popular package is $350, but I have rates to fit all types. I also offer a 10% military discount, as well as off-peak and off-season rates. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by meeting with every couple, in person if possible, or via Skype or Hangouts. I listen to their ideas, their hopes, their plans, and their questions. From then on, I make it my mission to turn all their dreams for their ceremony into a reality that reflects their love and their story.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to a solid business background, I also have training in the theater, and worked as a musician for several years. I am at my happiest speaking in front of others. I also graduated, after 3 years of study, from the Humanist Institute. I am a serving board member at the Society of Celebrations, an organization I helped found, to train and ordain new professional celebrants. I am the author of "The Complete Modern Celebrant Handbook", the new edition releasing late December 2015. I am also the host of the weekly podcast "The Celebration Show", where I discuss how to create great ceremonies with top professionals from around the country.
