About this pro
Weddings are truly wonderful events where two people are able to show their commitment to the world. My goal is to help create an experience that will live in everyone's memory as "that perfect day." From the location arrangement to the music to the vows - I am prepared to offer some ideas, a bit of advice, my support and, above all, to help you remove some of the stress. As your "marital guide," I will help you create a path that leads to that special moment when you look into each other's eyes and know that you have chosen a new path to walk together. I have had the privilege of helping so many couples reach this goal and have done so across a wide range of wedding styles from the formal, religious ceremony in the large church to the tie-dyed, hippie "love fest" in an open field. At the end of the day, it's always about finding the best way to join your lives together and I am ready to help you achieve your vision for that perfect day! I love being able to share in the creation of a "new canvas of life". By creating and speaking just the right words, I truly enjoy the privelege of helping two people join their separate paths. As their hearts and minds open to the possibility of new beginnings, I achieve a sense of joy and, as they celebrate stepping onto this new path, my heart sings right along with them!
Max was beyond helpful with planning the ceremony and suggestions for our wedding. He was open to anything we wanted to do or leave out. He genuinely gets to know the couple and cares that their wedding and marriage is a success!Nov 27, 2014Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Having discussed how best to price our services with numerous minsters, priests, and officiants, I found a wide range of opinions. Some say, charge nothing and just ask for a donation to their church (or favorite charity). Others say charge a significant amount so that potential brides and grooms will appreciate the value of your services. We have chosen to charge a fair price that covers our time, travel, and expertise. Ours is not a commodity that can be simply valued by a market analysis - it's far more of a personal touch.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Regardless of how we are introduced, my first goal is always to establish an environment of trust. My preference is always to meet in person and when we do, I begin by asking some questions about the couple's vision of the event. If they would like to engage in any counseling sessions (finance, property ownership issues, religious challenges, etc.), we will find the best place and time for me to share a few ideas. If, on the other hand, they wish to continue the conversation by email, telephone, or text, I am more than happy to do so. Again, my goal is to create a high level of trust and comfort and to find the best path forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a minister, I hold a Doctor of Christian Studies, a Master of Christian Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. As a counselor, I hold several licenses in the fields of financial advising, investment management, protection strategies. I have conducted many pastoral counseling sessions and continue to work with new couples as they process the many challenges that bringing two lives together can bring.
