I first started training with JR one on one to see if he was a good fit for me. JR is very personable and straightforward, which is just what I needed to lose weight. He adjusted the diet plan based on my likes and allergies and always kept workouts innovative and fun. At 5'1" my starting weight was 141 and I lost about 20 pounds to get to my maintain weight of 121. I kept training for a year and a half doing group sessions until I had to move. Now that I have moved I can confidently get myself in the gym and use good form and have a variety of exercises I have learned. His rates are outstanding for the area and what he provides so I highly recommend him. If you are looking for a trainer who will sugar coat everything, look elsewhere. JR will always tell it like it is. If you do the work and what he tells you to do, you WILL get results. I will say the only negative thing I have to say is that he was late and didn't show up at times. Usually he will make up for being late, unless he has a client.Apr 25, 2017Verified
