Introduction: Willy Minnix (a background checked teacher) has been a professional musician and sound engineer for over 20 years. In his career he has had the pleasure of working with top names in the music industry such as Blues Traveler, the Indigo Girls, Keb' Mo, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Little Feat, Old Crow Medicine Show, Yonder Mountain, Government Mule, Los Lonely Boys, Paul Shaffer from the Dave Letterman Show, and many more. He also was able to work with A list actors such as Stanley Tucci and Keanu Reeves, Kevin Bacon and Jill Hennessy. His work has allowed him to work in some of the top music cities in the country, New York, Memphis, Austin, Atlanta, and now he is able to bring his area of expertise to the Piedmont area. When you take lessons from Willy, his goal is to teach you to play quickly and well. Right from the first lesson you will start learning how to play songs and entertain your family and friends. I love working with people and seeing them go from knowing nothing about their instruments, to walking out able to play music! There is no better feeling in the world!
