I’m giving a mid-tier review for them. I had concrete excavated and then replaced by Max and his team. Initially I was very satisfied with their promptness; Max came and gave me a quote and came exactly at the time he said he would, we agreed, and they got started the very next day which was awesome.
The issues came after the concrete was poured. The project was estimated to be completed in 5 days. Granted there was a few days of rain causing delays, all in all took 3.5 weeks. They left a huge pile of concrete on my grass that took them 2 weeks to get rid of, and that’s after me badgering them and they said were coming 4 separate occasions and didn’t come through. Due to the heavy pile of concrete being there so long, it of course killed the grass. They did lay down seed, but the dirt was so compacted from the concrete that the seed couldn’t germinate with watering, so I had to dig out the entire area myself and reseed to get it to grow again.
On top of that, the final product was hardly satisfactory. It looks wayyy better than before they started working because my old concrete was complete trash… but there are very noticeable dips in the middle of the concrete that all my guests notice right away and you can feel through your shoes (I was hoping I was just being picky and that nobody else would notice, but they definitely noticed). It was very poorly brushed in many areas to the point where you have to kind of tip toe around certain areas if you’re not wearing shoes because of sharp, bumpy concrete.
And finally, they cleaned up most of the mess. But there is parts where there’s left over dried smudged concrete on parts of my fence, siding, and older concrete driveway. Max had told me twice that he would get his father, the other owner/business partner to contact me about what they can do to address my issues and I was never contacted.
I’m happy because it’s an actual usable part of our home now, but it just does not give off “brand new expensive concrete” vibes.
