Introduction: I am a full time massage therapist by day in my salon in Yadkinville and a part time massage instructor by night at Livings Arts Institute in Winston Salem. I did my clinicals at Yadkin Medical Associates in Yadkinville before becoming licensed. It gave me a wonderful understanding of medical massage and how effective massage can be to help bring the body into balance and address so many health related issues with a holistic approach. I provide an integrated massage approach specially designed for each clients individual needs. I specialize in myofascial release, deep tissue, (of course medical massage), sports massage, cupping, and general relaxation. I enjoy making a difference in the quality of life in people that I am so fortunate to treat. The reward of helping others is like no other! I highly recommend Melinda Styers for massage therapy. She has worked the "kinks" out of me more than once! Last year I started having problems lifting my left arm. It got to the point it hurt so bad to try to shave my left armpit. My life is so busy and so much to tend to, I neglected myself to keep doing for everyone else. So on the morning I woke up with a major pain in my neck, I couldn't neglect it any longer. Melinda Styers made the time for me at short notice. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after just 1 session! I left her being able to turn my head without pain, able to lift my left arm enough to at least shave under it, still some pain, but nothing like it was! After a few more sessions with her, no pain at all lifting my arm. She told me everything she was going to do, explained things to me as she went, showed me some little exercises to do at home in between her sessions. Melinda is very professional and knowledgeable about her profession. If you don't go see her for a massage..... you're missing out!! Thank You again so much Melinda for helping me!!

We have been going to Melinda for several months and she is the best! She is very knowledgeable on muscles and tendons for specific problems. We were having neck and lower back pain and was better after first visit! She's very professional and goes above and beyond what needs to be done to insure that you have the best quality life! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$1 per minute. Specialty massages are an extra $5 per hour. ( Prenatal and Deep Tissue work)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Very simple. Make an appt, Consultation, assessment of problem areas, then bodywork that is needed based on either your desire or my professional opinion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Business Management, NC Massage License with 806 hours of study and have worked Independently as a massage therapist since . I am also a Part Time Massage Instructor at Living Arts Institute. I have trained with the local Novant doctors office for medical massage and do monthly chair massage work for the telephone company. I have 4 years as a full time massage therapist and I'm great at what I do. I approach each client with compassion and a plan for the best care possible that fits their individual needs.
