Introduction: I have a very individualized approach to teaching. One size does not fit all when it comes to learning, and I do my best to tailor my teaching to the needs of my students. I love getting to know the unique individuals who I come in contact with through teaching. I like to begin my lessons with a little bit of talking and getting to know the student as a person. I believe this helps me in knowing how to best motivate and teach them as well.

Lisa was a caring and qualified teacher for my girls. She was thorough and professional in her teaching, but flexible with schedules and family needs. Her experience in music therapy bled into her regular lessons as she exhibited patience and skill with my children's individual needs. I felt more than comfortable having my children in her home each week for lessons. We were sad to see her go when her family moved out of the area.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved music from a young age and was privileged to grow up in a family of music-lovers. My mother is a piano teacher and I have learned a lot from her over the years. I knew I wanted to do something with music as a career when I was in high school, and now that I have a little boy to look after, working from home as a music instructor is the perfect fit!
