FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was an Aircraft mechanic for over 13 years. Went back to school to be HVAC certified universal code refrigeration mechanic and noticed that dirt was killing all the motors, components, circuits and other mechanical equipment. Coils were clogged with dirt causing low air flow. So I went back to school again, to be certified in air duct cleaning with the National Air Duct Cleaners Association. Becoming asbestos and mold mediation removal certified along with confined space.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Soot removal from heat exchangers in boilers, furnaces and chimneys. Clean air ducts and dryer vents for proper air flow.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A customer in Mitchell NE asked me to clean there home for the second time in 10 years. They groom dogs, so you know there is a ton of hair. The customer asked the Source Gas mechanic to look at there furnace for non working air flow and said there was nothing wrong with it. Well, I pulled out a large trash bag of frozen dog hair that was attached to the cooling coils blocking the air flow. The furnace did not work at all. But worked great after I was done cleaning it.
