FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If a client requests a phone call, I give them a call as soon as possible once I receive their phone number. Most of my wedding clients request an in-person meeting, which we schedule either at their venue (if possible) or over coffee. Otherwise, I generally correspond via Thumbtack.com, email, or text...based on my clients' preference.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor's degree in Fine Art, and I have been passionate about photography from childhood. I have decades of experience as a nature/wildlife photographer, and in recent years I have been an understudy and assistant for a prominent local photographer who has allowed me to let my portraiture truly bloom.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had the pleasure of working with a really wide range of clients: from commercial work for companies based as far away as Texas, California, and Tennessee (to list a few examples) to wedding photography where I really get to know the couple, their family, and their friends. I do a number of corporate headshots, which are generally very short sessions with a quick editing turn-around. I have had the pleasure of doing several annual/birthday portraits for children. Those are fun because I get an opportunity to spend a little more time with the kids in order to depict their personalities; the same goes for graduation/senior portraits. I also often photograph parties and other life events, which I approach with the mindset of a photo journalist. I have also enjoyed the huge honor of photographing multiple generations of families.
