I've been going here since January 2018 to stay competition ready for my MMA fights. I've had nothing but great experiences/results! Shana & Brianne do an amazing job at working with you to reach your personal goals. They're meal plans & workouts are top notch and you can see the results within weeks! I haven't worked much with Ian but when I do it's always a good workout. They're all friendly & welcoming on top of being professional. I feel and look better than I have ever been in my fighting career! No matter what your goal is, I highly recommend Fitucate Nutrition & Training and all their staff! Keep up the great work!

BJ clearly does her homework. She took the time to understand my goals as well as my challenges, and tailored each workout to fit. She kept up on what other workouts I was doing, what races I participated in, and supported them with the strength training I needed to make sure I would get to the finish lines!

I am very pleased with my experience with Rebecca. We have already had our initial visit. Rebecca really listened, asked questions, was relatable, very knowledgable and up to date with all the latest research about health and nutrition. She is currently developing a tailored nutritional plan for me. I can't wait to have a nutritional coach to help me lose some weight and get healthy.

As a personal trainer myself, I HIGHLY recommend Teager Nutrition! When I first went to their home for my first nutrition consult I was a bit questionable as to how legit they would be since they are a home business. However, the moment I started talking with Bryce and Katelyn it became extremely evident that they truly know the ins and outs of nutrition, physiology, and how the two come together. Not only does their appearance scream healthy (They are both extremely ripped) but the fact that they run the nutrition business out of their home was very inspirational to me. It is one thing to have someone tell me, "do this, don't do that" but to see the inside of someone's home who LIVES what they preach... that is truly motivating. It opened my eyes to SEE what it looks like to be FULLY invested in the nutritional side of healthy living. Bryce and Katelyn do it all. Not only do they take excellent care of themselves nutritionally and physically, but they also have 4 healthy eating kids (ages 5-9yrs old) so it was great to talk with them about creating an atmosphere of whole family health as well! They grow their own food in their backyard, they take herb classes, and they are extremely well educated natural healing remedies. They also cover topics of stress management, have excellent tips on getting deeper sleep, and they also have knowledge about different massage techniques (cupping being the one I truly appreciated learning about). Katelyn has her degree in Diatetics from the UNL, she is the head Crossfit trainer and exercise programmer at CFP, and she also competes crossfit competitively (being a retired college gymnast, she has made it to regionals 2 out of the 3 yrs she has competed), and Bryce has his degree in exercise science, also coaches crossfit, is a huge nutrition enthusiast, and is a fireman for Papillion LaVista. Together they are a powerhouse of knowledge on health and nutrition. During the time I was working with them, Katelyn was also helping her Dad fight cancer the natural way with nutrition. With her help, he is now cancer free! I also have sent a number of my clients to Teager Nutrition as well and they have helped my clients work through their diets for celiac disease, fibralmyalgia, and multiple sclerosis, and more. You will not regret choosing this couple for your nutritional leaders in health! :)

What I loved was that the suggestions I was given were practical and easy to implement. I wasn't asked to change my entire lifestyle but was given choices and advice that fit with my lifestyle and could have immediate impact. No special meal programs, just real food!

I came to Joel wanting to improve my self-defense skills, as I felt that it was needed for future traveling abroad plans or to generally feel more confident when it comes to protecting myself. He eased myself into the field of martial arts to the point where I started to have a passion for it as a possible sport. There was never a session with him that seemed pointless because he taught me so much about technique, proper stance, and even showed me some body-conditioning exercises as a way to improve the power of my punches and kicks. He also went the extra mile as a coach and gave me tips on proper nutrition and made some suggestions on natural supplements that I could use to improve my health. I always looked forward to my session with Joel as he wasn't only a good trainer but a great friend as well. We would talk about how life was going, movies that were out, and laughed at eachothers' humor here and there while doing some drills. We're both Batman fans, so at our last session we wore our Batman t-shirts as a way to celebrate. :-) All of this made sessions with him completely worth it. As of right now, we still keep tabs on each other as I'm now taking classes with other instructors at the same gym he trained me at. Honestly, it felt so foreign for me to go to the gym afterwards without going to him to train. I felt so comfortable with him but I knew that he wanted me to explore other opportunities that the gym could offer and felt that I was ready to advance as a fighter. He became my foundation to pursue martial arts in ways that I never could've imagined. I'm building more strength and confidence in myself because of him and highly, highly recommend him.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.
