FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on a day rate of $1,150.00 for shooting and an editing rate of $95.00 per hour. The minimum shooting rate is $575.00 for a half day. (Even if the shoot is just an hour or two, this minimum rate covers planning, travel, set up and tear down). $575.00 is the minimum cost for small projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer requests an estimate or bid on a project, I like to initially discuss the project over the telephone, to capture as many details as possible about the project. Each project is unique, and the details will help develop an accurate quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At the age of eight I had an Olympus Pen half frame camera to shoot our family vacations. By the early 1970’s I upgraded to a Pentax 35mm SLR and was shooting BMX jumping, go-cart racing and other action sports kids did in those days. In the late 1970’s I got a Nikon FM and traveled the country to shoot national BMX races I was competing in. I developed and printed photos in my own basement dark room. During my junior and senior years in high school I took photography classes in a state-of-the-art photography studio and processing lab.
