Solid State Electric
About this pro
Julien updated ceiling fixtures in kitchen & bathrooms, wired and installed new led can lights in our hearth room, performed a safety check on our electrical panel, cleaned up attic wiring, updated wall switches, added dimmers. Julien was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and fairly priced. He had sound ideas, and put us at ease regarding many questions we had about our home. He was diligent, thoughtful & went above and beyond addressing other questions & issues which exceeded the scope of the job. When we ran into issues with part of the install, he was quick and adept at finding an appropriate solution, and never tried to upsell an unnecessary product or service. He did exactly what he said he was going to do & in a timely & efficient manner. There are so many people out there to choose from, but we really felt Julien's professionalism, care and integrity spoke volumes. We were so fortunate to find Julien on Thumbtack, after working with previous master electricians who tend to see clients as a "quick hit", rather than seeking to develop a personal rapport of mutual trust & respect. We highly recommend Julien -- he is a rare find!Sep 16, 2016Verified
His work was excellent and fast . He installed a new fixture and changed the pendant lamp in another fixture. The only concern was last minute addition of traveling charges since i requested a small job. He has further reduced that amount to a break even. Overall very easy to work with.May 2, 2016Verified

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?I think that the best advice I can give a customer is to not be afraid to ask a lot of questions. Any true professional should be more than happy to work through any of your questions and concerns, as well as be helpful towards building a solution to any of your project needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?I'd say that what people should know about electricians, and myself specifically, is that we can do much more than run wire or install switches and outlets. I have been involved in many home theater, home audio and video distribution, and home networking, home security and surveillance camera installation projects. This has rounded out my wiring and installation skill-set quite well, which results in an "all in one" solution for many of my customers home improvement projects.
