I think I've found my handyman for all my electrical and plumbing work! Bob did a fantastic job updating my very old electrical plugs and switches. And the ceiling fan he installed looks fantastic! He's a hard worker and gets the job done!

I would like to share my experience with everyone. This job was initially for a tankless water heater for a very small home. When David initially looked at the job he assessed my current situation and convinced me that he could fix my current water heater to benefit me. Made send to me seeing that our home was very small and we really don't use a ton of water. So there was really no need for a tankless water heater thus saving us a ton of money. The job went as planned and his quality of work was great!!! Definitely recommend to other homeowners!!!

Sam helped with a variety of projects - screen and furniture installation as well as answering questions about how to fix small issues. He did this with a friendly, polite and laid back demeanor. I would use Sam again and recommend him. Very happy with his work.

Jairo did a great job assembling an entertainment center - the same day I submitted a request for this service online. He is a professional personable young man who kept in touch with me throughout the day to let me know when he would arrive. He also communicated the cost of the job right away. The cost of the project was well worth it. I am grateful this service is available. After he finished he moved my very heavy TV onto the entertainment center for me. I highly recommend him.

Jason provided prompt and professional service. We were completely satisfied with the quality of his work and have hired him for additional projects. He mounted two televisions with hidden wiring hookups and changed out some older electrical outlets in our home. His quote was very reasonable, his time estimate was accurate and I will call him again.

We hired John to fix and finish the interior wooden stairs, bannister, baulsters and landing of our home. Our house is over 100 years old, and we're pretty sure they're original, so they were in rough shape. He did an amazing job! He listened to us when we said we wanted to keep as much of it original as possible, and kept us updated throughout the project when unexpected issues came up so that we could be part of the decision making process. The stairs no longer creek or wobble. I feel like he left the aged original beauty of the wood, but made it alot more safe to have in our home. The work was finished on time and in budget, even through a snow storm. We'd be happy to use him again.

We hired Affordable Electric to install lights and outlets in our new dining room. They were professional and on the spot the whole time they were here. I highly recommend them for your home improvement needs. I used them a second time to run some outside wiring and lighting. Thier quote was reasonable, and they did a great job! Hardly knew they were there. I would recommend them for any home electrical work! They're worth the call for a quote!

Hired A Star (Michael and his business partner Drew Cabana) to do a renovation job after my condo flooded out due to bad plumbing in the building. Here's what my project with A Star entailed: Kitchen sink, counter tops and dishwasher had to be replaced, floors had to be redone (complete new floating laminate floor in living/dining area plus custom cutting and fitting several individual ceramic tiles), some custom shelves in the bathroom cabinets had to be refabricated, the covering for the AC exchanger had to be custom fabricated and the entire 950 sq ft. unit needed to be repainted. Michael and Drew did an excellent job on this work on all counts -- both in their own work on floor installation, plumbing, painting carpentry and minor electrical items, and also as general contractors supervising other vendors The folks from A Star were willing to come back again and again as we had to do things piecemeal -- first while I waited for the insurance situation to be decided, then wait for the condo management folks to replace virtually all the dry wall in every room before painting and other work by Michael and Drew could start, waiting for the carpet company I had hired separately to re-carpet the 2 bedrooms so that Michael and Drew could then install the T-molding end cap where the laminate floor meets the carpet, and finally we had to wait through delays caused by Lowe's in the delivery and installation of the sink and granite tops, which my guys supervised (they did the plumbing hookup for the sink and dishwasher themselves). It took nearly three months -- through no fault of Michael or Drew. We all had to exert the right amounts of patience and pressure on the other parties. It was a good-sized job. Many other contractors probably would have bailed mid-way through and moved on to other jobs that were easier and more clear cut, but these guys hung in there. I had to return from the Florida condo to return home to Massachusetts before the work was completed, and Michael and Drew continued to work hard to get the project done even though I wasn't around in person. Michael sent me photos of the completed work as it went along. My only criticism is that the photos were often fuzzy and therefore it was hard to see if the work had been done as expected. Michael needs to either get a better camera or have someone else take the photos of their excellent work! All in all, these guys are great. Their price was fair, they did high quality work, are easy to work with and I'd hire them again.

Jim did a great job installing our kitchen backsplash glass tile. He showed up the same day to give me a quote and was able to schedule this project within days. He was prompt, professional, and left the kitchen as he found it. Appreciated items such as putting down drop clothes, etc to protect the floors and counters. While he was at our house we had him fix a hole in the drywall which turned out very nice. Would definitely hire him again.

Justin was absolutely AWESOME! He was on time, quick, super clean and the tv is mounted beautifully without a wire in sight. He also instantly corrected an error created by the cable company that gave us cable throughout our house where we had previously only had cable in one room. He has so much experience and knowledge...a must hire for any tv project!

Rich was great! He was able to be flexible about coming out for the initial quote and came out and did the project (installing outlets in our kitchen island) on the weekend. He was quick, responsive, and very professional. I am so glad we had him come out and do the work for us; we are definitely going to hire him again for our future electrical needs!

Dan installed a butcher block countertop on some newly installed cabinets. We'd ordered the butcher block custom-made and then realized upon receipt that the company didn't do installs. Dan was willing to come out to do this small job for a fair price. Dan was friendly and knowledgeable and when we realized that the cabinets had settled improperly - leaving a noticeable gap between the counter and two cabinets - he walked through my options, including figuring out whether he could stick around and re-install the cabinets for me. We ended up choosing to just install some filler on our own, but Dan seemed to actually care that he walked through how to do it so it would look good in the end. One of the problems with this review is that I can't guarantee quality of work until the butcher block has expanded/contracted over multiple seasons. I had to leave before the end of the install, but Dan was willing to take a call from me and walk through the ways he'd relieved the butcher block to account for minimal expansion of the wood. He also gave a "I stand behind my work" spiel and said I could always call in the future if the countertop buckles and he'd come and fix it. He spoke frequently about how his real passion is custom cabinetry and kitchen additions. Obviously, I can't speak to his work on cabinetry, but if you want an attentive, easy-to-deal with contractor for a future kitchen job I feel like Dan is a good bet.

We just moved into a new home and needed to purchase new speakers for our surround sound, have eveything wired and hooked up, and to have the speakers installed in the ceiling plus one one the wall. I first consulted reviews and Matt's were all five stars.. Now I know first hand exactly why. The installation was flawless in every regard. Matt is punctual, professional, neat, and thorough. He went the additional mile with us reprogramming our Comcast remote to be almost a uiversal remote (minus a feature or two, but it was free). We are extrmely happy with the finished product and with Matt. I would recommend him without hesitation.
