Let me start by saying that I wish I could give Wayne 10 stars, but since I only have the option of 5, that will have to do. Our house is over 100 years old and we are preparing to paint the exterior again. Needless to say, we had quite a "honey do" list of odd repairs that needed attention. Clapboards that were broken or rotting, the railings on the front porch were falling apart, back stairs pulling away from the house, decorative trim that was rotting, brick foundation in need of repointing, new exhaust vents, and finally new doors. Wayne responded to my initial request in record time and stopped by later that day to give me an estimate. Of all the contractors interviewed, he was the only one that completely outlined the work needed with a full materials list and cost breakdown. Others were quite vague and wanted to repair or replace more than was necessary, turning the job into something larger than it really was. That is why I decided to hire Wayne, his straightforward honesty and winning personality sealed the deal. Wayne and his crew started the job immediately and completed it in good time. They cleaned up the yard after and disposed of all the waste materials as well. Earlier I mentioned the decorative trim, he had this ingenious product that was able to halt the rot and preserve as much of the original wood as possible because there would be no way to replicate the trim without spending a ton. This technique was also used on my kitchen bay window, which ended up saving me a fair amount of money in that area. Wayne also went out of his way to find a great deal for my porch door, I described what I wanted and he took care of the rest. Wayne also offered to come back and replace any clapboard that was questionable once the painter gets started. The other area where he excelled was the masonry. I actually contemplated doing the job myself, I'm so happy that I came to my senses and left that up to Wayne. He truly went above and beyond expectations. The brick foundation including the cement pad really needed help. Wayne fixed the grout as well as re-cemented the gap between the foundation and the pad, now when it rains really hard or when snow melts, the basement won't flood. Wayne had really good instincts and advice about tackling the different elements of our project. He approached the job as if he was the homeowner with a budget wanting to spend money wisely. I'm telling you, I can't say enough good things about Wayne and his crew at L & K Construction. I will definitely be using them again in the future.
He did an excellent job for Dad. Dad loves the door and we don't even have to dispose of it. No mess left behind, and no string to hold the door shut anymore.. :). Would definitely hire him again for jobs that come up.
We love Steve! Shows up when he says he will, gets what he plans on doing done for the day and cleans up before leaving. Talk you through everything so there are no surprise and unlike a lot of other contractors he doesn't make you feel stupid when he is explaining something or try to take advantage of you! He did some plumbing repairs and installed ceiling lights to our 3 bedrooms along with so other miscellaneous jobs and we can't wait to have him back in the future to help us with all our other projects we plan on accomplishing in years to come! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HIM!
Ryan Labbe came to our rescue and plowed us out of two back-to-back storms in February 2017. He was a terrific help and did a fabulous job on a tricky driveway (not much room for snow disposal). His price was very reasonable and he was pleasant and great to work with. I highly recommend him!
Installation, belly of mobile home. Press cleaned: house and deck, then stain it. Also, did driveway abd trimmed bushes. Just wished he started earlier in the day.
Chris, I can not thank you enough you saved me with all the misc fixes and surprises my 2 empty condo's presented us. Chris had to change the locks, fix some small floor tiles, sheet rock work, emptied trash from one unit which was insane, installed a light, reconnected smoke alarms, installed sliding glass door screens and fixed so then would roll smoothly, fixed closet doors and probably more I can't remember. I sure am glad he was available and reasonable. He was so great I hired him to watch over the properties and show the empty condo until rented. As an out of State landlord it is hard to find someone you can count on. Chris I am glad I met you.
Tom Sorensen started under my contractor, hired to transform/renovate my new condo. Tom began on the job as a painter primarily and bit by bit I observed even greater and more varied talents. While painting I was observed that Tom was great at his job, pleasant to have around, and he always left after all was cleaned up each day. My idea for the master bedroom was to paint stripes alternate colors to look like wall paper but in my exact size and color choices. The job turned out superbly so we did this same process except, using different measurements in the hall guest bath. All looks great. After the renovation was completed, I have employed Tom has a handy man. He saved a fine but old and weak cocktail table by taking it apart, regluing and then cleaning it up like new. Then when a 4 foot wall was taken down and we all found an ugly pole in the middle of a now open room, Tom suggested a french technique, trompe'loile (forgive spelling, please) which makes my newly painted column look like it is fluted (it is not ) and in the two colors of the room, done with antique faux cracks, etc, Trust me, it is fabulous. And now Tom is saving an antique Register Clock that fell from the wall. I expect that when I get it back it will perform as new, still look antique....but put back together with loving care. And electrical problems sees easy to accomplish too. Tom is a really good guy and I wish him luck in his new business with himself as CEO. You can trust him, and as long as his vehicle is running, he will always be on the job.
I contacted Wayne to shovel about 4 feet of snow off the roof of our home. He did an excellent job, arriving on time (8 am) and completing the job in five hours. We have solar hot water units on our roof that were completely buried and he and his assistant located them and completely and carefully cleared away all of the snow. He also shoveled out our generator in the back yard which had been buried under snow from the the roof. I was impressed by how efficient and thorough he was. I'm going to recommend him to friends and family and I'll certainly call him again for snow removal. Barry R.
Patrick was friendly and professional to work with as he repaired and replaced my roof trim (soffit and facia) along with a window sill and rotted wood in garage. All in one day! I highly recommend him to all my friends. His prices are fair and estimates accurate. My whole experience with Patrick was hassle free, he's good natured and easy to talk with.
The screen porch they built is terrific. Top quality work, excellent materials and done in a reasonable time. Good friendly guys. Would hire again without question.
Steve helped me by designing and building a front portico with new front steps, installing new front doors, and making other fixes around my home's exterior. I asked Steve to design a portico that fit with my home, and he did so. The portico blends perfectly, looks beautiful, and we're receiving rave reviews from those who see it live and in picture form. The price came in right at the quote, and was done in a timely manner. I could not recommend Steve more highly.
JD King is extremely professional, courteous and thorough. I had just moved in and he cleaned my entire house. It needed a lot of TLC and he spent 7 hrs cleaning. He did an excellent job. He truly cleans from floor to ceiling and even does windows. He brings his own supplies. He now cleans for me biweekly. I have already recommended him to a friend of mine.
Very pleased with the work of Steve Clancy. He arrived at the time and dates he said he would. I had to get my water faucet and garbage disposal disconnected before and reconnected after a new countertop was installed. Won't hesitate to contact him in the future for other work.
Excellent work, done in a timely fashion. Email communication could be more timely, phone for anything important.
