I have taught over 600 students over the last 30 years teaching children and adults in Southern NH. I am the author of "The Piano Guide Book," a method for adult beginners. I am a full-time professional music instructor, and I provide private lessons with a personal, individual approach, and with a patient, supportive attitude. If you are considering taking music lessons with Mr. Hostage, know that you can expect a high level of professionalism, a relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly, quality musical instruction. As someone who began singing at an early age, I have had the opportunity to sing both individually and as part of numerous groups. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $28 per half hour, and the first lesson is free. Lessons are paid for on a monthly basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I find out what level the student is currently at, and what musical direction/style the student wants to learn. The first lesson gives the student an idea of my teaching style, and then they can be sure if the student and my teaching approach is a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Berklee College of Music 1978-82, gigged throughout New England playing jazz, blues, rock, country, classical and more for over 40 years.
