I started training with M.J. of MOJO Fitness in January 2016, and I’ve experienced remarkable gains over the 9 months I’ve been training with him. I am a marathon runner, and I decided to add strength training to my training plan to prevent injury and improve performance. I've increased both my speed and stamina since I started at MOJO Fitness. I completed my first marathon in May, and will be running my second marathon on October 30. I feel much stronger and more prepared for this one than the last. I am also down to 16% percent body fat and have gained lean muscle as a result of my strength training with M.J. His workouts are always different, challenging, and fun. In fact, I have never done the same routine since I’ve been training with him! M.J. is an amazing trainer. He encourages you and pushes you to challenge yourself. I would not be in the best shape of my life without his support and workouts.
I give muscle flow training a five star review because Terry is very professional in the way he handles his relationship with his clients.Terry is a good listener as to each individual client's needs he will also help you with your nutritional needs and I am seeing fast results.I would recommend anyone looking to hire a professional fitness trainer to give Terry a call he will not disappoint you . I'll try and keep this brief but informative. First, let me tell you about my idea of exercise and healthy eating. Moving from the couch to my car was good enough for me and a box of Swiss rolls was a snack. I'm not overweight, I just ate HORRIBLY. I started going to Heather when I went to golds gym. She gave me an assessment test and I thought she was going to not even bother to train me. She took me, someone who was at the bottom, and put so much faith in me. She encouraged me, believed in me and mostly she pushed me. By working me out and working out with me, it forced me to eat better. If I didn't eat better, working out was awful!!! I felt better than I ever have, I slept better and I was so much more motivated. When I tell you that Heather changed my life, I truly and honestly mean it. I would NOT write this if she didn't have the impact on my life that she had. I had to move but I still tell people that "my trainer" Heather is amazing. Although, I haven't been to her in a very long time she's still my trainer! Heather is hands down the most professional (unbelievably), educated and most adaptable trainer I've ever seen or heard of. I am unbelievable picky and I thanked God every time I watched other trainers, that I had her. I would do anything for Heather to be closer to me! Okay, so I didn't keep this very short but I needed to get my point across. I can not express enough how amazing Heather is!!!!!
When I started working with Michelle my goals were to improve myself physically and spiritually by stepping out of my normal workouts and comfort zone because they were no longer working for me. Since working with Michelle she has inspired me to reach for new goals by setting and creating new and out of the box workouts that alone I never would have imagined possible. Trusting Michelle in this way and following her lead has shown me that I am stronger than I thought. She has given me a new confidence to see my capacity for accomplishing my dreams in all areas of my life. What is different about Michelle that I have not found in other trainers is that she cares about all of me and is invested in my whole life. She is not only a trainer but has become a friend and a mentor to me.
Johnny is the man. I wasn't sure what to expect as I spend a good amount of time in the gym already, but from the start he's given me challenging workouts that are specific to my needs and different than my normal routine. He's very easy to talk to and makes the whole workout enjoyable but definitely challenging. I'm currently working with him to prep for my first physique competition and he's making the process (that's quite challenging) very attainable. I highly recommend him!
One of the best trainers there is, knowledgeable, accountable, caring, always striving to learn more and be the best for his clients. Not many like him. Without a doubt Doug is the person you would like to have as your trainer.
Working with Mike has been a great experience for me. It started out with him being just my trainer and I can say he's become one of my good friends in the process. He pays attention to what you are trying to accomplish and isn't simply out for a paycheck like a lot of other trainers. I can say I've become a better athlete and person working with Mike and wouldn't change that. He will work with you on scheduling and ultimately make the sessions about you and your goals and do everything he can to help you accomplish them. Would highly recommend.
I've been going to the gym regularly since after college and during that time, my body never seemed to change - no matter how much I thought I was pushing myself the muscle never appeared. Going to the gym had also become boring, but I didn't feel comfortable trying new workouts. I had previously written off training after witnessing sessions at my previous gym - too many trainers just barking orders and looking uninterested. At the urging of a friend though I gave Jeff a shot and after my first session knew I had struck gold. When you're training with Jeff he is totally focused on you - figuring out your short and long term goals, working with you to overcome obstacles, and scrutinizing the mechanics of your body's movement and how it affects your workouts. Over the last 8 months I have learned an incredible amount - things about my own body, new movements and workouts, and what it really means to push yourself. I have a newfound confidence when working out by myself that I didn't have before. All this had lead to two things; first I am actually seeing results! Muscle where there hasn't been before and generally feel stronger and healthier than I have in the past. More important though, Jeff has made working out fun - I'm actually enjoying workouts and not thinking of it as a chore. I'm looking forward to many many future sessions with Jeff and highly recommend him to anyone looking for training.
Derek is a great coach! He has worked with me to help me reach my goals, and has shown me so many techniques to help with my running and overall fitness. It's a great workout every time!
There are not enough words to explain how happy I am to have found Sean as my personal trainer at Always Strength Fitness. I have been working with him for ~ 4 months (3X a week for 30-60 min sessions) and I don't plan on stopping (unless Sean or I leave Boston :)) I found Sean on Thumbtack (after dealing with a few terrible Thumbtack trainer) and decided to "hire" him & continue our sessions for a number of reasons: 1) Sean has an Incredible Work Ethic and is an All Around Nice Guy- Sean is fully present during our sessions (not on his cell phone or taking selfies or multi-tasking). It helps me be accountable for showing up 100% during each session so I get THE MOST out of each and every workout. 2) Deeply Knowledgeable about Fitness, how the body works/functions, dealing with previous ailments & injuries, mind-body connection, etc - I had two injuries that I was working through and serious muscle imbalances that were getting in the way of being able to advance my strength training progress. Due to our workouts, I have consistently gotten stronger mentally & physically on all levels. Every day activities like carrying my 40 lbs son down a hallway with two giant bags of groceries to doubling the # of Harvard stadium steps in 30 min vs. when I first started working with Sean-- all have seen drastic improvements (night & day) in my endurance and strength. My body is no longer breaking down because Sean is helping me regain strength where I need it, building up strength where I can, and guiding me step-by-step to be even stronger. 3) The coolest part about our workouts is how strong mentally I've grown through our sessions, which has benefits for me in all aspects of my life. When I started working with Sean, I was super insecure about my "lack of fitness, strength, and ability"-- I was never an athlete or active as a kid. Every time I work with Sean and start a new workout, I swear on my life, before the reps, that there is absolutely no way I can complete the workout that he has laid out for me. But somehow with his guidance, positive reinforcement, and million-dollar smile, I do-- even with more reps, more weight, more difficulty, etc. I find myself mentally becoming stronger with each work out and being able to apply that new mental strength to everyday stresses and challenges at work and life. 3) Convenient location & logistics - Always Strength Fitness is conveniently located in Brighton/Allston with covered parking. They have all the equipment and tools to give you a comprehensive workout, regardless of your goals. Finding a time to train with Sean was easy and he's pretty easy to get a hold of and coordinate logistics, etc week to week, which I appreciate. There are definitely so many other reasons why you should work with Always Strength Fitness-- the ones I listed above are unique to what I was looking for, which I 100% found in working with Sean. If you have other goals that maybe I didn't list in my review, I am pretty sure Sean or any of the trainers with Always Strength Fitness will find a way to help you reach them without a sweat.
I've been training with Debi for 4 months now. Having had 2 back surgeries, I was out of shape but hesitant to get back into the gym. Debi is understanding of this and any other anxiety, and is very encouraging. She really listens, and has the knowledge to implement a plan to help you reach your goals. I have always loved working with weights but wasn't sure if I'd regain my strength. Well, I've lost weight, gained strength and endurance beyond my expectations thus far; and I'm looking to compete in a powerlifting competition in 2 weeks. I'm not done improving yet, and I know Debi will be there every step of the way.
When I first met Cara, I knew I wanted to work with her. We got along, and I loved her energy. Her 18+ year experience shows in her knowledge about meal plans, posing and workouts. I had given her a tough task to compete in my first show 6 weeks out. Some said it wasn't possible, but I was confident that she would get me there in a safe and healthy way. She really cares about training her clients the right way, preserving muscle and cutting the fat, and eating! Every time I had a question or reached out to her, she was responsive, no matter what time it was. The day of my competition, she specially requested a breakfast for me, hand delivered it to my hotel room, and rushed back to the hotel room when I realized I forgot my jewelry. She always went that extra mile. Long story short, I reached my competition body fat/weight goal in time. I can't wait to start training again for my next shows with Cara! I highly recommend her to anyone who is competing in their first show, or who is thinking about switching to a new coach.
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Kandace P. Platts, as a fitness/personal trainer. Kandace has been my trainer, motivator and confidante for 3 months. She has been able to walk that fine line of being the cutest drill sergeant and inspiring work out buddy with an ease that is uniquely hers. As a registered nurse, she has helped me with my diet which in turn has helped me push through those harder work outs and has reduced my hypoglycemia moments. I have worked out muscles that I didnt know even existed and even, when I give my dirty look after a touch 10th rep of some crazy exercise, I always feel a great since of accomplishment. Kandace has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I am so grateful for her encouragement and knowledge and the best part, it is all done with such grace and a beautiful smile. I am so looking forward to working towards my first bikini competition with you.
Di is an amazing trainer (I've had experience with 4 others). She is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition, body mechanics and up to date on all the newest techniques in personal training. I am not the type of person who looks forward to the gym, at all, but my sessions fly by!!! She is receptive to feedback from her clients and will help you work hard-but not beyond your limits. I have a long history of sports injuries and she adapts my workouts to mindfully avoid future injury. She really is great as a trainer-and as a person. The workouts are private, which is awesome because it eliminates any self conscious aspects that exist at a public gym (especially as a woman). You have her total attention in a comfortable environment. Give it a try-you'll see!!!!

I have been training with James for about 9 months. From day one, I began to see results from the way I felt, the level of energy I had, and the way I looked. Within the first three months I lost 25 pounds, and that shows how effective James is. He personalizes all of the training sessions to make sure that you reach your goals whether your goal is to run a 10k, do fitness competitions, become a skillful boxer or lose 7 inches off your waist. I worked with other trainers before and none were as effective as James. He is very professional, and very passionate about the work that he does.
I have been a very active member of Elevate Health Studio, for approximately 4 years......if you are looking for a new gym "home", you have found it. The staff and trainers constantly strive to guide their clients to work as hard as possible, always at their own level, to reach that next step in fitness. The class offerings each day, the fun, the work as well as the new friendships, have kept me motivated and interested for nearly 4 years! Cody is extremely knowledgeable and capable of tailoring strength, conditioning and longer-term training plans to meet the needs of individual athletes. In my younger year, I was a serious athlete and fortunate to work with many talented coaches. Now older, I'm amazed at how much I continue to learn from Cody. My strength, flexibility and speed have all improved. After many years away from competition, I'm once again having fun swimming, biking and running to train for TRI events. Thanks to Cody, who designs individualized workouts and longer-term plans that are both challenging and interesting, I'm enjoying the time that I have to devote to training, more than I ever have.
Drigo is an extremely focused and passionate coach who always exhibits the utmost professionalism. My wife and I been clients of his for 2+ years because he always finds new ways to motivate and inspire us, which leads to amazing results. The aesthetic results have been remarkable, but our true joy comes from how we FEEL - both during and after the workout. Once I made the decision to return to training, I first searched for a local gym that could accommodate the level of fitness that I aspired to achieve. Great trainer knows his stuff! Whether its weight\fat loss,weight gain or increase in strength he is the one that can help you! I have come very far with Paul and now actively compete in powerlifting, figure competitions and strongman events. Really nice guy and welcoming to all! Gym warriors is a very fun and positive environment with members who like to push themselves to be the best they can!!! Wonderful
