I started training with M.J. of MOJO Fitness in January 2016, and I’ve experienced remarkable gains over the 9 months I’ve been training with him. I am a marathon runner, and I decided to add strength training to my training plan to prevent injury and improve performance. I've increased both my speed and stamina since I started at MOJO Fitness. I completed my first marathon in May, and will be running my second marathon on October 30. I feel much stronger and more prepared for this one than the last. I am also down to 16% percent body fat and have gained lean muscle as a result of my strength training with M.J. His workouts are always different, challenging, and fun. In fact, I have never done the same routine since I’ve been training with him! M.J. is an amazing trainer. He encourages you and pushes you to challenge yourself. I would not be in the best shape of my life without his support and workouts.

Ive been training with Lou for a little over two months now after stumbling upon Thumbtack and couldnt be happier with my decision on going forward with training with him. Starting off Im by no means a fitness freak or an athlete, just wanted to get into better shape to improve doing the activities I enjoy such as hiking. After working with Lou for this short amount of time Ive seen amazing gains in my endurance and strength, Ive revisited locations that Ive hiked and its crazy how much the training has assisted in my ability to carry more weight and trek longer distances. As others have stated Lou is extremely knowledgeable, which is proven through his individually customized programs for each session making each work-out new, never boring and positively challenging. The guy just really knows his craft, hell explain every maneuvers benefits to the physiological level. On top of this Lou is like your nutritional guide book, you have a question about something he knows the answer or he will find it for you. This is great for when you need help (like myself) on altering your diet and what foods to try to lose weight and get the most out of your workouts. I have to echo what others have said in terms of recommending Lou for anybody, not only because of what Ive listed above but because he takes training seriously (in a good way) and makes sure you do not injure yourself and performing everything with proper weight/technique. I guess I could write more but truly, give him a shot you wont regret it.

Johnny is one of the better trains I have ever worked with. Quick to correct form, pushed me to a level of intensity that makes sure I will see results, and keeps the workouts fun. He also takes the time to make sure nutrition is on point and offers sound advice on supplements. A+ 💪

Ross Hardaway has been my personal trainer for the past three months. I meet with him for two 45 minute sessions per week and I have definitely met my goals of becoming stronger and more fit overall. I had previously worked with 2 other personal trainers and I have been extremely happy with Ross. In addition to pushing me to a higher level of fitness, Ross's workouts are fun and interesting. Janey is amazing. His enthusiasm, professionalism and fun attitude completely changed my perspective on personal training. For less than two months, I have developed so much confidence on weight training/ interval training and really started to see results of my training. My legs have gotten much stronger and I have lost two pounds of fat in exchange for muscles. Most importantly, I have developed a habit of going to the gym even outside our personal training sessions. Ive trained with Kandace for a year now. She gives a personalized 1 to 1 training tailored to help me achieve my specific fitness goals. Her seasoned knowledge in muscle conditioning, core workouts, agility & strength training have greatly helped condition me for my Spartan Races. She is always prepared & makes it a point to clearly show you how to correctly perform each exercise. And there is no lack of her generous motivation that I sometimes need to finish her tough workouts. She quickly observed my poor breathing & lack of flexibility. Her suggestion to try yoga along with her nutrition & diet tips, helped make a positive difference in my overall fitness & health. Sam is a knowledgeable, friendly, and all-around great trainer. He really helped me gain a better understanding of fitness by explaining each exercise and interval to me in great detail! He also helped me get into kickboxing, which I absolutely loved. His methods helped me on my way to getting more toned, flexible, and fit!
Steve was my instructor at the Krav Maga North Reading location where I trained for about 2 years. He motivated me to train harder and build my endurance, all while being very patient and concise with his instructions. In my class we had students who were at different levels of Krav Maga, and Steve was able to provide individual attention to every student and provide constructive feedback to improve our form and speed. The best part of Steve's classes are the drills - and I found them to be both high-intensity and fun at the same time.
When it comes to personal trainers, James Malvesti is beyond compare. I first started training with James eight months ago and I remember our first session clearly. First, James had me engage in several exercises to determine my baseline fitness level. Next, he sat down with me and we intensely discussed my fitness goals. James asked me all of the right questions so that he could 100% individualize my training experience. We discussed how long it would take to reach my goals and James also guided me through proper nutrition. I remember being immediately impressed by the level of attention James was providing me with and his genuine enthusiasm about me being able to reach my goals. The workout routines that James creates are unique, challenging, and take your breath away, literally! I reached the goals for myself that I had shared with James during our first training session and now I am working on a new set of fitness goals with James. With James knowledge and passion for fitness, expertise, and positive and encouraging attitude, reaching any goal is possible!
I love working with Jaime! The boot camp class that she runs at Southside is a great mix of strength and cardio exercises. She always incorporates new and challenging workouts to keep us interested and to help us see the best results possible. I would definitely recommend joining the class or working with Jaime to anyone looking to switch things up and get results!
I have been training with Nick since July of 2014. I trained with him twice a week at Today's Fitness, and at his new facility, I have joined his new High Intensity Interval Training bootcamp. Nick has always been great with me. Each workout focuses on a different major muscle group with always changing exercises (no two workouts have been the same). After each session, he tells me what workouts I should do on my own before our next session. This, combined with his nutrition advice, I have had a major change in body composition over the last 8 months. The proof is in the pudding as they say.
I trained with Tom for over two years, working on weight loss, strength training, and distance running. I really loved working with Tom and would recommend him highly. He always kept the variety good so workouts were never boring, and he was great at tailoring the program to my personal objectives which evolved over time. Critical to my success, Tom did a great job of combining both training with teaching effective stretches and corrective exercises that kept me healthy and injury-free, even as I picked up running longer distances for the first time, eventually completing my first marathon. Also, especially at the start, I was pretty remedial in my physical abilities – overweight and out of shape. But Tom never made me feel judged or inferior. If you want someone intelligent, professional, and motivating to work with, even if you’re just getting started, I would definitely recommend giving Tom a try.
I have been working out for approximately 6 years and in 2013 I came to realize that I needed some good coaching and personal training. I was going to the gym 5-6 days a week at Edge Fitness in Dracut and I seem to reach some difficult plateaus I just could not get passed. Now I have known Paul for quite a long time now. One day I saw a sign in the gym about personal training. So I asked Paul if this was him and he said it sure is. I said I would like to set up some sessions 8 to be exact before I knew it I was on my way. I wrote every exercise down in notebooks over the course of two years. Paul was able to take my notebooks home and evaluate them and find some of the small mistakes I was making that was holding up my progression. Paul also had me write down my diet information and he quickly was able to point out some dietary errors and helped me plug in more nutritious foods that was better suitable for the type of training I was doing. So now I have a more improved diet, a new set of exercises, and superior training knowledge that I can build on and that will last a life time. I am a very busy person and one of the things I struggle with is my gym routine, timing, and organization. What impressed me about the service was that Paul was able to customize a routine for me that worked really well with my schedule and allowed me to do some serious damage to those plateaus I was stuck on. On the days we met up Paul was very motivating, intense, knowledgeable and strict. When I say strict I mean correcting my form and staying on track with the time in between sets as well as the appropriate time of rest needed. Paul always provided me with positive feed back. When Paul changed an exercise or a method of attacking the weight he did so with a vast explanation in science and body mechanics. Paul went above and beyond for me because I had so many questions and he answered them all making me a much better all around athlete. Even on the days we were not in a training session and I had a question he always took time to help me. Paul was always on time and ready to go! His knowledge and experience is like none I have ever met. Paul is an extremely regimented person, highly motivating and energetic trainer. He will not allow you to fail or fall short but only educated and motivate you to succeed and reach and pass your goals. I cannot think of anything he could have done better because Paul is so thorough and knowledgeable. Since my personal training with Paul I continue to impress myself with what I am able to achieve in the gym. I have a whole new way of approaching workouts that I will have for the rest of my life.
I was a division one athlete and always had a coach telling me exactly what to do and how to train. Once I retired from swimming it was very difficult for me to figure out how to work out on my own, and find something that I really liked. I think the main thing that prevented me from using a personal trainer was the cost involved. As much as I wanted to have a workout coach, I just couldn't afford it. I found that Christina's workout plan and cost associated with it was very affordable and would fit into my schedule nicely. I was in a rut and needed some outside motivation and I knew Christina could bring some motivation back into my life. I chose to train with Christina because she really customized my training to who I am and what I was looking to accomplish. I thought one of the most amazing attributes of working with Christina was she was willing to come to my home gym to work me out! She was flexible to my schedule and made working out with her convenient! She had workouts put together that were different and challenging each session. I never knew what to expect which would make the workouts go by quickly and were always fun and exciting because they were always a little different. We trained 2 days a week for 8 weeks and I lost over 10 lbs and my overall strength and muscle definition improved immensely. Christina has a wonderful training attitude, she's tough without being too aggressive and is playful while making sure I never made any excuses and never gave up. Christina helped me reach new levels of intensity each week and really got me back in shape! I found my motivation again and Christina was the reason I would get up and out of bed in the morning to get my workout in before work. Training with Christina has been the best training experience I've had since swimming and I'm definitely a huge fan of Christina and would recommend her to anyone that needs a little motivation in their life.
I started working with Chad almost a year ago because I was struggling to transition from the power lifting workouts I did as a college athlete to more "normal" workouts. I knew that I wanted to get into better shape cardiovascularly and lose some of the bulky muscle I put on in college. Chad worked with me to develop a program that incorporated high intensity cardio along with more toning strength exercises. He's really helped me refine my workouts to what really works for me!

Indivudualized extreme training!!! That is the only way to describe the unique style of boston trainers!!! Although I am a soccer player I was never one who likes to workout. I hated running, hated the treadmill, hated the bike, and hated the elypitical. And once I hit my 30's my lack of fitness began to catch up on me and I became very overweight. Something needed to change and no matter what I was unable to lose weight. Filled with doubt I contacted boston trainers and within a week I was amazed with the results! Not my physical appearance but how I felt about myself! I was energized, confident, determined, focused, and overall happier. This was the start of my fit for life journey.
