However, Alex and his teammate came over and really unpacked almost everything for us (except some things we requested that we would do). There are simply not enough words available to write an adequate review for Smith Moving. Eric Smith and his team set a new standard of expectation I'll default to when I hire future contractors. This company's performance will be hard, if not impossible, to live up to. And beat it? Not going to happen. No. Joke. From the first communication (the initial bid) to final contact when the project was finished, this was a perfect experience. The team arrived on time (a few minutes early, even!) and went straight to work, carrying out every task with teamwork and efficiency/economy of motion. They kept things logically organized, packed my breakables with care, stacked everything so that the moving company simply has to move the boxes, and Eric personally ensured I was happy with the results before everyone left. And--get this!--the estimate was spot on. I never felt they were cutting corners to get in and out of the apartment.Likewise, I didn't ever feel they were moving slowly to run up billable hours. This company is honest, ethical and efficient. The employees are, to a man, the same as well as personable to boot! If you need any moving services in the Boston area, this is the only quote you need to get. Competitive pricing with 5-star service and impeccable results. It simply doesn't get better than this. Period.
Jay and his crew far exceeded our expectations. The closing date changed on us a week before the move and Jay was able to be flexible enough to make it all work anyway. We used both their packing services and their local move services. Every one from First-Rate was just that, first-rate. They were professional, friendly, courteous and polite...down to earth and easy to communicate with. We thought there would be no way to fit our whole house belongings in (2) 26 foot trucks but with Jay's masterful packing skills we were totally impressed with how accurate the quote ended up being... obviously, not their first rodeo. We had specific labels on the boxes with the hopes that all of our things would be brought to the rooms in the new house that we wanted... and they were very conscientious to do that. It is making the unpacking so much easier to do. Our items were moved with care, right to the spots we wanted them. We have used other movers in the past, but we would highly recommend Jay and his company to any of our friends, family (and have already). We'd use them again in a heart beat! Thanks for making this part of our moving experience the most pleasant it could be.
Moving is a pain, I decided to skip asking around for friends and family available and willing to help me on the particular day and time I needed them, and decided to hire professional movers instead and these guys were great! They arrived at 8:30am and had everything packed up and into the truck by 9:15am, Super fast! I chose them initially because they had the best prices, which was by far worth the money and more because they disassembled and reassembled all my furniture, wrapped up delicate items, brought it all inside to my room of choice, so all I had to do was unpack. Overall, a great job!
I got in touch with Frank via Thumbtack in mid July. We had some issues with our final closing date changing between 2 weeks and they were willing to store our stuff overnight. We ended up closing on August 5th and Frank was very accommodating to our schedule. Our team arrived on time at 2pm. We had Team JBJ - Joshua, Bryant and Josh. They were simply amazing from the moment they walked into our 3rd floor apartment to attempting to help us wall mount our tv (although we were missing screws) at our new home. JBJ moved us out of our 3rd floor apartment within 2 hours, drove to our new home within half and had already started unpacking the truck while we were running an errand. By the time we arrived at our home, half of the truck was already unpacked in our porch ready to be moved in. Team JBJ disassembled and reassembled our bed frame, dresser/mirror, and dining room table with care. We were skeptical about using movers for our short move but are so glad that we went with Hebert movers. I would highly recommend them as they are on time, quote the correct amount of hours, don't waste time during the move and are a fun bunch to work with while remaining professional. Thanks guys! Get ready to move some of our friends in the near future in the Nashua/Dracut area. 😊
I received a wonderful services from them. They showed on time and started working right away. We finished moving within 4 hrs. I strongly recommend use them for moving I know I will use them again. I loved that Lexel gave me a fixed rate (no surprise charges!) and they quoted me much less than any other movers. They called me the day before to see if it would be okay to come earlier, and they called me around that time to let me know they were 15 minutes away. There were only a couple snags: I've never used movers before, so I didn't realize that they would ONLY take things that were packed in boxes (a liability issue, I guess, which I understand). I had a lot of thing packed in tote bags, open-top wicker totes, and laundry baskets, so I had to repack those at the last minute. This was a little stressful and lead to me having to make multiple trips with my own car - I wish I had known beforehand that everything had to be in a sealed box with a lid. I've been unpacking and my belongings seem to be in good shape so far. I've only found one box that appears to have had a rough trip (the box itself was damaged, and a smaller box inside was damaged too.)
A day after moving and taking time to write a review speaks for it's self. From the moment they pulled up they were ready to go. As a single woman I am apprehensive about letting strangers in my home, these men were not only courteous but had a demeanor that really but me at ease. They worked hard, fast and wrapped everything, even items I wasn't concerned about. I didn't have a ton of money to spend on movers and thought I would have a bad experience because their rate is on lower end, not the case, they were great! I could go on but I have unpacking to get back to. Thank you Top Rank Movers for lowering the crazy stress of moving.
Janete did a fantastic job at helping me unpack and organizing my entire apartment. She was able to do much quicker than if I had done it alone and she also arranged things effectively for me to most effectively use my space. I will definitely have Janete help me with my ongoing cleaning and organizing needs and would highly recommend her.
I could not be happier with the service I received from last minute movers. I recently moved out of Boston before the first of September and had two different businesses cancel on me. I called last minute movers and they came the very next day. They were very professional and took great care of my belongings. If you are looking for exceptional service and a hassle free move into your new home I highly recommend last minute movers.
Service was A+. Cynthia and her Assistant moved 2 heavy pieces of furniture for me. Then, they hung drapery brackets, rods, and curtains. They secured 3 very heavy mirrors to the walls in different rooms using a "stud finder." They hung up all my Art using a special velcro-type item guaranteed to NOT damage paint, Art or wall. They even trimmed the rug pad that was too large for the rug! Best of all, they were roughly half the price of the other 2 bids I received via Thumbtack!! I will be recommending Nimble Conciege to everyone I know needing a handyman, furniture mover, unpacking help, or decorating assistance.
If I could give Patricia ten stars, I would! She helped me with packing, unpacking, and organizing in my new house. She's AMAZING. I am a messy, disorganized person who gets anxiety attacks just thinking about packing and moving. In two days she had me totally packed- and packed perfectly! I used a large and highly regarded Boston mover, and the crew chief on my move said it was the best PBO (packed by owner) he'd EVER seen. And the move cost hundreds less than the quote, which they said was because it was so well packed and well prepared. Hiring Patricia to pack practically paid for itself. And my new house! It's so beautiful! My kitchen is like a dream. A dream where everything makes sense and stuff is easy to find and even better, things are set up in a way that's easy to maintain. I never thought I'd be able to keep it going, but it's just so logical, it feels natural. Patricia did more unpacking in two days than I would have in six months. I could literally have guests over a week after moving in because of her. And everything is so smartly thought through. I love that she doesn't just want to put things out of sight. She wants to create true order, and in a way that I can follow on my own. She pays attention to how you use things, and how often. Patricia really listens. Also, she's delightful, kind, and extremely trustworthy! I left her alone with jewelry and expensive things with no worries. I gave her a key to my house to do organizing when I wasn't there, in fact. If you're thinking about hiring Patricia for anything- do it! You'll be so happy. Even if you're already organized, unlike me, she can still help in ways you may not have even thought of yet. It's the best money I think I've ever spent. Her prices are extremely fair and she's super efficient. She's a genius at anything related to being organized or creating systems. I would have been so desperately miserable trying to do this myself. And I could never have done it a fraction as well. Patricia really made a difference in my life. She has my thanks and my highest recommendation.
John and his assistant (also) John are fantastic. Five stars plus two more for professionalism and performance. I did three UHaul truck moves this weekend — three pack and three unpack sessions — with six moving teams. We had a lot to move. John (and John) were far and above the BEST team. I only wish I had found them for the first move (and all moves) instead of just for the final move. John communicated extremely well ahead of the move, so all details of the move were clear ahead of the move date. They were the only crew to arrive early. They were the only moving crew to finish early. And they are great guys. I will use them again soon.
I had just moved to greater Boston, and had to start work immediately. So I needed someone to help me transform my chaotic-storage like place into the 1 bedroom that it realy is. When sirlaine came she started by checking my place and assessing what needs to be done and how long it would take. She didn't waste time after that and started to unpack, arrange, organize and even suugest reorganizing ideas! She's someone who is very proffesional, efficient, passionate about what she does and gives alot of thought. She is such a friendly positive person who works very fast yet very thorough. I was very happy that she was the first person to hire for a cleaning/organizing job here, because now I don't have to look any more, she'll be my go to person and I have already arranged long term cleaning service with her. This is someone who knows what she's doing and is good at it.
Joy Cleaning Services helped us unpack when I was recovering from pneumonia and we were trying to start new jobs and get two kids settled before our au pair arrived. Joy was punctual, hardworking, and easy going. She whipped our place into shape quickly and the results were heaven sent! We like her so much we’ve asked if she would consider cleaning for us regularly. We highly recommend this company!
We contracted A Perfect Move to move my in-laws from South Carolina to Maine This was a very emotional move for them as they had owned their own home with a massive quantity of possessions for 60 years and now were headed to a senior apartment complex. We received professional, empathetic treatment from everyone we dealt with, from the local manager at their SC office to Erin in Kittery. They provided valuable advice as to how to handle downsizing. The movers who packed everything up had the patience of Job as they had to deal with packing much more than was contracted, keeping them there til after 9:00pm. The unloaders in Maine were equally friendly and professional as they unloaded box after box, returning the next day to be sure everything was unpacked and set up to the demands of my lovely but demanding mother in law. Every item was inventoried and checked when delivered and not a single item was missing or damaged. The expected additional charges were clearly outlined in the revised invoice we received after pick up. If we had had friends and neighbors move us it would have felt the same. I recommend A Perfect Move to any senior going through a downsizing situation. It could not have been done better.
Jane is the best! She did a great job selling my house and finding me a new one! Jane also helped me pack up my house and then unpack and get organized. She has helped me with so many organization projects - large and small. I have also referred friends and family to her, and everyone is so happy they keep thanking me for referring them to Jane. If there was a 10 star rating Jane would get the 10 - she's the best!!

Paul and his employee were very efficient and cheerful. They adapted to changes in my needs for packing as well as unpacking. I'd been a little anxious because their earlier moving job the same day took much longer than expected. However I was amazed at how much they fit into my vehicle as well as theirs. They then proceeded to unpack MANY boxes previously moved in - with dispatch and care and good humor. I plan to engage them again soon.
Who knew the stressful process of making a major move could result in your mover becoming a dear family friend? We found out recently, when a friend had recommended Robert to move our two family households 1,600 miles. My parents were unable to find a house at the time, so they stored their belongings in my new garage. Thanks to Robert, our initial move went so smoothly that when he offered to return to move them into their eventual home, we knew we'd call on him to do just that. Around the time they finally found a house, my sister passed away unexpectedly in the area we had left. Robert so very graciously helped us from afar by packing her belongings and bringing them to us (and moving a friend of my dad's on the way!). I'll always treasure his sensitivity and kindness in helping us unpack my sister's possessions, something we were not prepared to have to do. That's probably more moving than most individuals or families will ever have to do within a span of a few months, but Robert was there for us every step of the way. I cannot imagine how we would have coped without him. Robert's services are not only efficient and very reasonably-priced, he provides personal touches that are truly unique in the moving business. After our initial meeting with him, we were so impressed with the overall proposal, and did not look into any other moving companies. It was the best decision we could have made. On behalf of my parents, brother and two children, we are eternally grateful for his help and friendship! Robert is our mover for life.
It was wonderful working with Patty. I just moved back into my renovated home and wanted the inside of my kitchen cabinets to look as beautiful as their sleek exterior. Patty helped me achieve this. Just this morning my kitchen designer came to do a few adjustments and when he opened my pantry cabinet he immediately commented on it's tidy, organized look. Patty helped me unpack my boxes and find a place for everything taking into account my family's habits and my usage of all appliances. Everything is clean, organized and efficient. She is pleasant, sociable and a pleasure to work with.
