FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I set my pricing not only to cover the actual time of shooting but to cover post processing as well. All my photos are professionally edited to adhere to my style preferences. It can take 10 hours to edit a wedding, and 2 hours to edit a portrait session. I feel it's important for my clients to know what they are paying for. I can happily break it down for anyone asking. I also offer payment plans as wedding photography can be a big investment for most people. I know it was for my wedding! If my clients don't see what they are looking for in my pricing - or are working with a tight budget, talk to me. I may be able to work something out!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new clients I prefer to meet in person if possible before a shoot so we can get to know each other a bit more and discuss the upcoming shoot. For weddings, this is especially important. For portrait clients, it's typical for us to meet the day of the shoot. We'll go over locations, discuss wardrobe + props if needed and cover all the details so when we get to the shoot everyone knows what to expect. I encourage my clients to text me - most people find it the most convenient way to get questions answered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm self taught! I've spent years learning the ins and outs of my camera and equipment. I have shadowed a lead photographer from a major wedding photography company who helped introduce me to the world of wedding photography.
