I was a voice student of Julie's for several years. In that time I grew in my skill and confidence as a singer. I learned how control my instrument, and event after the lessons ended, the impact carries on! She also helped me feel comfortable in many genres including country, blues and rock. Julie was always patient with me, even when I was being thick-headed. I always felt encouraged through by her teaching and mentoring. I can say with full confidence that I would not be the singer I am today without Julie!
Horizon and the Horns (the entire ensemble) played at our wedding reception at Colonial Hall, Salem MA, in July of 2014. We checked our desired wedding date with the band before we had chosen a venue, or any vendors, because we had heard them before and we KNEW we had to have them! Since our wedding reception was more of an unstructured party with a buffet dinner and no seating arrangements, Ray worked with us to choose the musicwe very specifically wanted up-tempo Soul and Motown, without the typical wedding dances (Chicken Dance, Daddys Little Girl, etc). We were not doing the usual dances with the wedding party, no garter, no cutting of the cake, etc. Ray listened to us, and really deliveredour guests LOVED the music, and danced throughout our entire party, which is exactly what we wanted! Ray also let us choose the programmed break music (when the band took their break) and he was extremely accommodating and agreeable throughout the whole planning process. At the event, every member of the band was a real pro! It is to their credit that many of our friends stayed until the very end, and only stopped dancing when the party was over. So many of our friendseven now, a year later!ask us who the fantastic band was. Horizon and the Horns was an integral part of the success of our night! Thank you, Ray!
This is a very special band with a wonderfuk sound of reggae and rock. They really live what they do and we LOVE them!
Brandy did a great job performing at my wedding. I received so many compliments from my guests about them. They heeded all of my requests ranging from song selection to sound volume and vocal style. Perhaps the biggest testament to their performance was the sight of my 4 year old nephew rocking out to the band's music, despite never having expressed any dance inclination previously. It was an astounding revelation, even to his parents.
As a composer, collaborating with Dennis Shafer continues to be a great opportunity to work with an incredibly well-rounded, sophisticated, and poetic musician. After soliciting my musical intentions, such an impeccably pictorial and wonderfully sincere performance of my music could only have arisen from someone so wholly invested not only in his craft, but in a greater concept of what music can mean. I am eager to be again composing music for Dennis to perform. In the spirit of his teaching philosophy, hes opened my eyes to the thrill of collaborative work. Composers can be recluses, and I needed that eye-opener. His availability, willingness, and capacity to clarify the challenges of writing well for the saxophone makes me a better composer. A chance to work or study with Dennis in any capacity should not be passed up. He is a renaissance man and a worldbeater.
Dave Hines is an excellent, talented musician. I have had the opportunity to hear him on several occasions, and he has also played for me. He is the consummate professional, an accomplished musician, with an extensive repertoire. Ether as a solo musician or, with a band, Dave Hines will not disappoint!
Denise is a "pro" at whatever style of music she sings: rock, ballads or big bands! Great vocal quality, interpretation, and showmanship!
Dave & Paul did an excellent job in all ways. Clearly both are very talented, with a wide range of music knowledge. They were very sensitive in getting in synch with the party vibe. Likable as well. A great experience & I’d recommend them very highly!
The best wedding band in New England. We wouldn't have chosen anyone else - people still bring up how good the band was when we run into friends and family.
I had hired this band for surprise 40th bday party for my husband. They were very helpful in keeping it a secrete and working with me for set up, and meeting to see the property where they would be playing. GREAT PRICE and GREAT music. All ages were at the party and all enjoyed the music. Friendly people to have around!
Jill did a great recording and was very attentive to my every need by offering other services that would benefit my project. I will certainly seek her again for my next project.
Zach did a great job of teaching my sons guitar for about 2 years. He kept it interesting for them as they are 12 year old twins. They are going to join the middle school jazz band and they owe a big part of this to Zach and his instruction.
4EverFab is one of the most professional and enjoyable bands to play at my venue, The Simple Man Saloon. Our patrons are always asking me when their next show is. Do yourself a favor and book these guys. They are spot on when it comes to the sound of the Beatles.

I do solo acoustic act or full band playing classic rock. We offer great music for restaurants or clubs. We play in private parties, too. Brian Munger
Wed love to provide fun music for your wedding celebration! We have been fortunate enough to play live, acoustic music (bluegrass, swing, roots music, old time) at numerous weddings throughout New England since 2006. In regards to music for the big day, we have found that the following formula works well for most folks: * Half an hour of mellow acoustic seating music prior to ceremony Processional and postlude (MP3 samples are here on our website) * 45 minutes of acoustic music amongst your guests during the cocktail reception * Fun dancing music after dinner for the reception You can use our PA for toasts and announcements. We also encourage folks to make an iPod mix of music to play during dinner, and fun dancing after we perform. (You and your friends might also love Prince of Hip Hop, or have some special songs youd like to dance for another 30-45 minutes before the night ends!) Wed be happy to answer any questions you may have, and we provide a cost estimate. We typically book/quote events six to eight months in advance, so if you would like to secure your date, please get in touch! Also, please visit our web pages with wedding ideas specifically for Boston, on the Cape and the North Shore.
