FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Small service calls are typically billed at $120 for the first hour and $70/hour after that, plus materials.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to speak with new customers on the phone to get a true sense of what their electrical issue is. Often a visit to their home to discuss and look at their needs is very helpful and free of charge.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All electricians in NH must undergo a 4-year apprenticeship under a master electrician, completing 8,000 hours in the field while attending trade-based schooling. After fulfilling those hours and classes they are eligible to take a very difficult exam to become licensed as a journeyman electrician. After 2,000 hours worked as a journeyman, an electrician is eligible to take their master electrician exam. As a licensed electrician I am also required to log 15 hours of classes every 3 years when the National Electrical Code is updated as part of my continuing education.
