Mike came today to install the cabinets. He did excellent job. I am thinking of hiring him for bigger projects. Thanks
I needed somebody to build and install a custom floor-to-ceiling sliding door to split my room when I want it. Not too many contractors will take a job like this requiring out-of-the-box thinking, but Joe did. He came up with a solution that saved me hundreds on the material cost and submitted a quote that I could not refuse. And Im glad Ive hired him. That was my best contractor experience ever (and I worked with dozens of contractors on different projects before). Joe and Frank worked as a perfect team complementing each other and coming up with the best course of actions. Joe would reply to any text message almost immediately, answering all the questions I had for him. The project was done as promised, on time and on budged. Thank you, Joe and Frank. I would recommend Speranza & Son to anyone who needs a job done professionally, efficiently, and with minimal headache.
John installed trimwork around windows, baseboard, and a door (also installed the pre-hung door) in a small bedroom we were remodeling. John did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him. He even pointed out and fixed a problem we were having with our front entry door free of charge. Great work at a fair price. Will definitely be calling John again for future projects.
Top Quality Remodeling completed a gorgeous custom kitchen for us in November of last year. Our previous kitchen was outdated, cramped and barely functional. A full bath and a peninsula took up most of the floor space in the kitchen, and a "window" overlooking the adjoining family room took up valuable wall space. Vill worked with us to design a functioning kitchen that fit our lifestyle with the limited space we had. After seeing our options on paper, we ended up reducing our bathroom to a half bath, filling in the window, and pushing a wall over a few inches to achieve our dream kitchen - in fact, its the picture for his website. I was very impressed with his skill and timeliness. Their team completely reshaped and renovated the bathroom, gutted the kitchen, ran all new electrical, installed new flooring, installed a new ceiling, built us a new wall, installed all the appliances and custom cabinets, installed a beautiful tile back-splash and did all the finishing touches (crown molding, painting, etc.) all within our predefined schedule. This was my first experience with a major renovation project, but I've heard horror stories from others of delays and hiccups along the way - we had none of that with Vill and Top Quality! Everything came together perfectly. He has a natural sense of knowing what will and will not work within a design and seemed to always be thinking one step ahead. It is clear that Vill's experience has given him an eye for quality without sacrificing value. Our custom cabinets were incredibly well priced and exquisitely handcrafted to our specifications - something a run-of-the-mill home improvement mega store would never have been able to do for us. He was also able to get us a fantastic price on the perfect piece of soapstone for our counters. He's got a good list of contacts up his sleeve and he knows how to use them! I could not be happier with the finished product that Vill provided us. I highly recommend his services.
I had Jeff move some cabinets in my kitchen. He did a great job and did exactly what I asked. He was on time, very neat, and friendly. I would definitely hire him again in the future.
Job is underway. Ray jumped right in and started my odd jobs and will be doing a Rustoleum Restoration to my 15 cabinets. His quote and knowledge sold me on his work. Already seeing results. We are looking to be at "open house" stage by late August and Ray's work will go a long way to getting us there.
The Ortega brothers did an amazing job. Daniel was very easy to deal with and gave us great advice. They renovated our kitchen including demolition, a new floor, appliances, counter and cabinets. They also redid three ceilings and completely painted the apartment. WE did this all in two weeks between a changeover in tenants! I say we because my wife and I worked extremely hard to manage the project and keep things moving. The Ortega brothers stayed focused and managed the electrician and plumber and got the project completed by the hard deadline. Naturally, such a compressed time frame was stressful, but Daniel kept his cool! Overall we are very happy with the project.
I hired Bruce Montville of Montville Construction Mgmt to repurpose an old gun case for my growing ceramics collection. Bruce did a great job every step of the way, from courteous consultation (how many shelves, how high they should be, what kinds of wood/molding) to precise, efficient carpentry. He removed the old green-felt-covered gun holders and replaced them with shelves that are are attractive, secure, and even--which is important, since some pieces in my collection are valuable, over 500 years old. He followed the specs we discussed, plus surprised me by going an extra step, treating the wood to reveal greater beauty in the grain. I expect even my grandfather, the best artisan I’ve known, would call Bruce a real craftsman, based on his standards and aesthetics. I would absolutely hire him again--whether to build more cabinets or, at a later date, for home remodeling.
I called Derek to install new kitchen cabinets. The price was reasonable and the work was excellent. I would not only recommend Soderquist Construction, but would use him on future projects.
John did finish carpentry in my new basement den. There were a couple access panels, a staircase and baseboard and trim. I really like how he did the hidden access panels. They slide out and look very neat. He also fabricated cabinet doors for the storage areas. He is very professional and did the work on budget and within a very reasonable time frame. Definitely hire John for your next project!
Woody has worked on my home for many years. He has replaced my cabinets, doors and windows. He has installed hardwood flooring in two of my bedrooms and has also done some exterior trim. Woodys work is exceptional. I am always satisfied with the job. He is very punctual and professional. I have also referred his to many of my coworkers and friends.
The complete demo and renovation of our beautiful new kitchen could not have gone better. Steve is an experienced general contractor, who knows many aspects of construction. He has connections with the trades, such as electricians and plumbers, so that the project is completed to building codes and requirements. His experience allows him to anticipate any problems before they are made and when there are issues to resolve, he follows through until they are worked out. Steve communicates well, was always on time, pays attention to detail, tries to keep the dust and dirt to a minimum, and protects new items from being inadvertently scratched during the continuing construction process. He installed custom cabinets and trims, open shelves, all appliances, glass backsplash, new windows, widened our door entry, and created a special closet out of left over materials. This is the second major project that Steve has done for us, the first was a bathroom, and both came out the way we envisioned.
Igor was great and helped me complete my kitchen remodeling that had gone wrong horribly with Home Depot. Then I got another guy and he messed up the cabinets, but Igor came in and completed the job and made the kitchen functional as well as look great. I will highly recommend him and also use him for all my future jobs around the house.
They were great! They installed new kitchen and dining room windows, as well as installed new cabinets and put in a vent for over the range microwave. Hooked up our dishwasher/faucet once new sink was installed with the granite countertop. Finished almost all of the project within a week, only had to wait on a special order window which was not his fault it took awhile for that to come in. I recommend to anyone who is looking to get great work done at a reasonable price.
Came out and installed finished crown molding on cabinets I installed. Great workmanship!
Dan installed a butcher block countertop on some newly installed cabinets. We'd ordered the butcher block custom-made and then realized upon receipt that the company didn't do installs. Dan was willing to come out to do this small job for a fair price. Dan was friendly and knowledgeable and when we realized that the cabinets had settled improperly - leaving a noticeable gap between the counter and two cabinets - he walked through my options, including figuring out whether he could stick around and re-install the cabinets for me. We ended up choosing to just install some filler on our own, but Dan seemed to actually care that he walked through how to do it so it would look good in the end. One of the problems with this review is that I can't guarantee quality of work until the butcher block has expanded/contracted over multiple seasons. I had to leave before the end of the install, but Dan was willing to take a call from me and walk through the ways he'd relieved the butcher block to account for minimal expansion of the wood. He also gave a "I stand behind my work" spiel and said I could always call in the future if the countertop buckles and he'd come and fix it. He spoke frequently about how his real passion is custom cabinetry and kitchen additions. Obviously, I can't speak to his work on cabinetry, but if you want an attentive, easy-to-deal with contractor for a future kitchen job I feel like Dan is a good bet.
Mike took an old bath that needed a lot of help and made it beautiful. Mike stripped everything out to the studs and started over. Some sub-floor and joists near the toilet also needed to be replaced. He put in a new bathtub, sink, cabinet, toilet, pocket door, window and linen closet. He installed the drywall, trim and wainscoting. He installed the tub/shower tile with a niche and accent tiles and floor tile. The renovation changed the layout a little and Mike worked out the design details and suggested the color scheme. This full renovation was more scope the Mike typically does, but he pulled it off at the right price and in the scheduled time frame.
Had new kitchen cabinets installed and utilized Mike services. We had difficulty with the installation due to the original construction of the home- not the greatest. However, he made it work , he knows his stufff and I would certainly use him again.
