FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am registered through Yoga Alliance which requires continuing education in order to remain registered. A good teacher always keeps a student's mind.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was introduced to yoga in 2012 after a serious back injury sidelined me from my previously active life. From my very first class, I was surprised by how exhilarating and fun yoga was, and by how natural the poses felt. Yoga taught me to be aware of me body, increased my strength and flexibility and offered me techniques to alleviate the aches, pains and exhaustion which plagued me daily after my injury. The regular practice of Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga nourished and healed my body. I uncovered a more grounded, confident, powerful, balanced, healthy and happy self and a new passion was born. My desire to share the healing benefits of yoga inspired me to become a teacher. I completed my yoga teacher training through Riverflow Yogas 200-hour teacher-training program in 2014.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you have a spinal injury or an injury of any kind, you should seek clearance from your medical professional before you begin this or any exercise program.
