I am very happy with Craig as a teacher. He comes prepared to our lessons. Always looking for new things to push me to improve my skills. He listens and takes the time to understand my needs as a student. He clearly has a lot of practical guitar knowledge and is able to translate it into simple terms that I can understand.

Bob is committed to helping you achieve your guitar playing goals no matter your starting point. His instructional approach is multi-faceted, fun, and produces results. In my case, I had never touched a guitar until I started lessons with Bob about a year ago and now I am very comfortable with my instrument and have made significant progress towards becoming a true guitarist and musician.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Bill for about 7 months. Being an older student, I was very nervous, but Bill quickly put me at ease! Bill listens to my goals and directs our lessons towards attaining them, with a teaching style that is full of humor and patience! I would highly recommend Bill to anyone interested in learning the guitar!

As an adult student, I have been taking mandolin and guitar lessons from Steve for about two years. I would recommend him unquestionably to any prospective student looking to take music lessons. Steve is a down-to-earth instructor who is not only eager to help his students learn but demonstrably excellent at playing and teaching the instruments he teaches. Steve has introduced me to a variety of music from a theory viewpoint, but is eager to help his students define their own path, reflective of their particular musical tastes. I’ve played an array of bluegrass, jazz, blues, and classical music with Steve. Not only has my playing dramatically improved, but my appreciation for the music has improved exponentially. I’ve learned how to diatoni cally examine songs, understand rhythm signatures, identify different scales, solo, and perhaps most importantly, how to practice properly. Whether you’re just looking to play your favorite song, or become a lifelong student of your instrument, Steve is definitely the guy to help you along the path of musical discovery.

I began taking voice lessons from Peter Hostage in May and have been highly satisfied with my decision to do so. If you are considering taking music lessons with Mr. Hostage, know that you can expect a high level of professionalism, a relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly, quality musical instruction. As someone who began singing at an early age, I have had the opportunity to sing both individually and as part of numerous groups. In just three weeks Peter has introduced me to technique that I had not been exposed in my 10+ years singing. I am confident that continued lessons with Mr. Hostage will enhance my vocal ability. The lessons are definitely worth the investment!

About

About

Coming from a very musical family, Joe started playing bass at the age of 9. While creating music for his own bands, Joe was quickly utilized as the go-to bassist for jazz band, chorus, string ensemble, and even musicals such as Les Miserable, Hello Dolly, etc. His interest in jazz brought him to Berklee College of Music, where he graduated with a degree in contemporary writing and production. Since then, Joe has toured the UK and Europe with international artist Christian Cuff and as a session musician and has shared the stage with artists such as B.B. King and James Otto. By playing styles from hip-hop to classical and anything in between, Joe now works as a producer/engineer in the world-class Rockinghorse Studios in Pittsfield, NH, while still finding the time to play numerous groups throughout New England. Joe's Teaching Philosophy: "My aim as a teacher is to help the student achieve his or her musical goals, which could be anything from strumming chords at a campfire to auditioning for a band. Either way, my intention is to inspire the student to practice and to inspire him/her to have fun. I strongly encourage students to be creative and develop their own style based on what they love about the music they listen to and ultimately want to play."
